Xbox Live Arcade revenue is on the up, with the service setting a new record in 2011 with an estimated $144 million in takings, according to analysts, Forecasting & Analyzing Digital Entertainment.

Rather surprisingly, of the XBL games released last year, Ubisoft's From Dust was the highest earner. Promoted as part of Microsoft's Summer of Arcade, the Eric Chahi-developed god game sold 308,000 units, racking up an estimated $4.6 million in revenue, according to the firm.

Microsoft's Full House Poker shifted the most overall units last year, generating an estimated $3.6 million, while Castle Crashers continued to rack up the big bucks, taking a whopping $4.6 Million despite being almost four years old. Now where's BattleBlock Theatre, The Behemoth?

The full list of FADE's estimated top ten selling 2011 titles for 2011 can be found below.

1. Full House Poker (Microsoft Game Studios) - 375,000 Units / $3.6 Million USD ($9.66 ASP)

2. Castle Crashers (The Behemoth) - 335,000 Units / $4.6 Million USD ($13.69 ASP)

3. Fruit Ninja Kinect (Halfbrick Studios) - 324,000 Units / $3.2 Million USD

4. From Dust (Ubisoft) - 308,000 Units / $4.6 Million USD ($15.00 ASP)

5. Trials HD (RedLynx, LTD) - 286,000 Units / $4.0 Million USD ($13.80 ASP)

6. Magic: The Gathering (Stainless Games) - 278,000 Units / $2.7 Million USD ($9.71 ASP)

7. Torchlight (Runic Games) - 272,000 Units / $4.0 Million USD ($14.64 ASP)

8. Toy Soldiers: Cold War (Signal Studios) - 241,000 Units / $3.6 Million USD ($15.00 ASP)

9. Bastion (Supergiant Games) - 241,000 Units / $3.6 Million USD ($15.00 ASP)

The real winner is castle crashes. 335,000 units sold in 2011 when it came out in 08. Amazing stuff.

Do you sales to date figures?

I got From Dust during the Summer of Arcade and I haven't even played it yet. Maybe I should take a look at it.

Looking at those figures you would like to think Castle Crashers 2 would be a no brainer!

From dust is an amazing game. Love the feel of it. I got Full House Poker for XBLA and also my Windows Phone 7.

Its amazing to see how some games just take off and do so well, even years after they are released. Can't wait for the new South Park XBLA :-D

@13 you make it sound like some sort of conspiracy. If it was, which it isn't, it would be the least interesting conspiracy ever

low numbers all round to be honest. 40 million registered live accounts and the #1 game of the year is more than 100k shy of a half mil?
No wonder great games like Bastion keep popping up on steam and even PSN.

Who the hell bought Daggerdale? Ought to be ashamed of themselves. Nice to see Trials there, if a little odd, given how long it's been out now.

Almost all of those games are 1200 pts. The best thing about this list is that it proves the people who whine about $15 being too expensive are in a tiny minority, and their constant complaining about it makes absolutely no impact whatsoever.

Good game, but they never followed through with anything they said they were going to add to it afterwards. To see now that they are the best selling arcade game of 11' just makes me more angry about it.

Why does everyone want dlc for an arcade game? Boggles the mind. Let's see a From Dust 2 or something instead. I don't buy into (literally) the dlc thing.

@ #25

Not everybody buys those games at full price. I bought trials, torchlight, D&D daggerdale (free), and bastion for half off or more. I do regret buying bastion at half price, should have paid full for it, I loved that game.

If MS had any sense, they would do whatever it took to sign The Behemoth game studios to make them exclusive to XBLA but MS is too stupid
