The launch trailer for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning has arrived, ahead of the game's release next week. It's almost time.

Stuffed with more weapons, armour, skills, customisation options and abilities, the Big Huge Games developed open-world RPG has impressed us on recent showings. But it's all about that ultra-satisfying combat really. Man, it's good.

Check out the trailer below. Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning hits on Feb 7th in the US and Feb 10th in Europe.

This should hold me till Mass Effect 3, which in turn will hold me to The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.

The battlefield part in the trailer with the giant troll smashing the archer reminded me of Dragon Age.

Somehow I am still confused why I never heard of this game untill now. I´ll download the demo ASAP because I love RPG´s.

I've gone off this game after the way 38 Studios handled the online pass fiasco

@10 There was no online pass fiasco. The quests are not required for the main game, and it rewards those who purchase new.

@10 crybaby, it's like what Rocksteady did with the Catwoman DLC code. There's no "online pass" because there isn't any online.

As for the trailer, awww yeah!

Hm, I definitely want to get this game, but I just keep asking myself if I have the money for it. Not to mention I have a massive backlog that's only getting bigger. I'll see what the next week holds in store for me.

I love the executions in the game!

I was like "HOLY SHIT!!" when my character slammed some lighting spear through the trolls face in the demo! And again when she makes some kind of spear from light, sticks it in the ground, then grabs an enemy and impaled them on it! Some of these executions are better the some of the fatalities in the recent MK game! :D

@10 I didn't personally hear anyone complain about the Cerberus Network in Mass Effect 2! I still bought it and enjoyed it!

My only experience with RPGs have been with the Mass Effect and Fable games but once I tried the KOA demo I was hooked within the 1st 5 mins.

@#19 Lots of people did not like Cerberus. If you look at the achievement list for the game the Houses seem to play are large portion. Not sure what the deal with the DLC is. I'll be getting week one ether way.

i get bored with skyrim alot (with exception of dragons quests felt like copies of oblivion and morrowind), arkham city was too short (still was epic but not worth the buy), and the shooters last year were all sequals so i hope this game marks the start of a higher quality gaming year (quickly followed by mass effect 3 that i hope i will be playing till at least summer)
