With Asura's Wrath launching today in North America, it's the usual launch trailer time, but in this instance there's a few additional details regarding the first two batches of post-launch DLC, and an additional one which features Street Fighter's Ryu.

These first two downloadable packs will bridge some gaps and explore moments between episodes in the full game, with a unique artistic style in both packs, inspired by the world of anime. These first two doses of DLC will then be followed up by a DLC pack that will pit Asura against the world warriors of Street Fighter, including Ryu.

You can take a look at some of the new DLC screenshots below, with nine in total to view in the gallery. Asura's Wrath is out today in North America and will be heading to the UK on March 9th, 2012. You can read our Asura's Wrath review right here. There's no word on prices or dates for the DLC just yet.

  • I can not wait for this game.
  • If CC can pull this off then Asura could also be in Naruto Storm: Generations as a guest character like Lars.
  • I got this game yesterday and it's surprisingly a lot of fun. I'm really enjoying the story and the art. It is like a really sweet anime.
  • thats a ps3 screenshot on an xbox site, this game does look good shame it got put back in the UK.
  • I've just finished the game. It's gorgeous but lacking in gameplay. Discounting the QTEs which are constant there is only about two hours of actual gameplay.
  • This game is awesome loving the story :) also they need to put Asura in Ultimate Marvel bs Capcom 3 he just needs to be in there..
  • *vs
  • Cant wait till this game comes out
  • Wow is all I can think of saying right now. Have to wait untill march 9th for it, same day as mass effect 3.
  • Woah woah, wait, there's an animated part? AWESOME!
  • I picked this up today and am enjoying the hell out of it. I actually am not an anime fan but the action in this game is terrific. By the looks of these screenshots the dlc's should be something to see...
  • "you must defeat Sheng Long to stand a chance." Was hoping Ryu was in the trailer
  • I will be getting this game!
  • @2 - Lars was incredible in Naruto UNS2, fingers crossed Asura makes it into Naruto: UNSG
  • Nice. Anime? Very nice. Ryu? Even very very nice.
  • @4 WOW! Well done, no one would ever of noticed that if you hadn't pointed it out..
  • This game is looking fantastic, I will pick this up, however it's sharing a release date with ME3 over here in the UK and I can't afford both at the same time :(
  • @16 well im glad i could help.
  • "These first two downloadable packs will bridge some gaps and explore moments between episodes in the full game" Sounds like "removed to sell as DLC" to me.
  • Damn Gamefly didn't send me my copy, sent Sonic Generations instead. So disappointed.
  • @19 - It's Crapcom. Shouldn't be a surprise.
  • @19 From what I've played of the game so far, there's very little that would have needed explanation anyways, so it might be that it was sections of the game that were irrelevant in the first place. Like deleted scenes from a movie. They might be related, but not necessarily important. I don't care one way or another, honestly. I'm loving the game so far, and I'd be happy to support it later on.
  • This game is sold sheerly down to the demo .. Sick of people saying "too many qte's" ... Or "take out the qte's and this is a really short game" ... Thats like saying take the guns away from all the characters in cod and see where that gets them .. The game would be pointless Shut up about the QTE's if you don't like them, guess what?! Others do =D
  • I thought the demo was bad ass , came out today and cant get it :( , well not yet hahaha, then ninja gaiden is close behind !!!!!!!!!!!
  • @23 And for what reason is your opinion more valid? Because you happen to like the QTEs? Why should people not be allowed to voice their opinion; whether it be positive or negative? I won't tell you to shut up. Though I would like to.
  • @25: He's saying that it's pointless to ask for the removal of a mechanic that the game entirely relies on, similar to asking for a CoD without guns (even if a bit of an unfair comparison). If you don't like QTEs, simply put, you probably won't like Asura's Wrath, and so it's pointless to cater to you. Not every game can be 'fixed' for those who would like it another way. But if everybody is justified in making silly complaints about a game that isn't for them: Can Asura be blonde? Too much white. There's also too much rail-shooting in Asura's Wrath, let's make those segments an FPS instead. And can we change the title to 'Asura's Revenge'? (all of these being a joke, because I can't expect anybody justifying QTE complaints to see that).
