EA has confirmed the opening of a new studio called EA Gothenburg, which will focus upon developing games using DICE's Frostbite 2 engine. With DICE situated in Stockholm, Sweden, it looks like its now become the home of Frostbite 2 innovations.
In an official unveiling of the EA Gothenburg development house, EA has announced that the newly founded studio will be "making a new generation of games on the Frostbite 2 engine", which suggests the studio might be pushing the boundaries of what's possible with the Battlefield 3 engine.
It looks as though the studio could also be working on a sequel to one of EA's existing IPs, but beyond that, EA has remained tight-lipped on offering any further details for now.
