Here’s the launch trailer for Ninja Gaiden 3. It’s got swords, blood, helicopters, dinosaurs, Big Ben and dragons in it. I’d say that's pretty good value.

The highlight, however, are the English accents. They're amongst the best examples of the form since Dick Van Dyke's chimneysweep. "Not me, mate. Not me!" Lovely stuff.

In Ninja Gaiden 3, Ryu is sent to London where following a battle, our hero finds himself with an infected arm capable of unleashing devastating attacks. He'll need it, as the mysterious Regent of the Mask is threatening to destroy the world...

Ninja Gaiden 3 hits on March 20th in North America, March 22nd in Japan and March 23rd in Europe.

  • Shame GAME are not stocking, could get it cheap, looks really good.
  • I really hope it is as great as 2 was, but I'm nervous.
  • Holy fuck this game looks so great and it hurts
  • @2 I wouldn't count on it to be completely honest.
  • My God my face has melted into goo upon the sight of the trailer.
  • Can`t wait to "Press the Start Button" to play the game ;)
  • Looks like hes using the Blade or the Archfiend in some parts. Should be intresting.
  • All over this like i was NG2. I TOTALLY AGREE with @4 about @2 though. Also i hope it isnt as difficult on the top 2 hardest difficulties. i beat the first 2 but i couldnt do a thing on the harder 2. A chance at a 1000 would be great !
  • Haha, people are saying NG2 was good now? When did this happen? I mean the weapons and combat were lovely, but the game was extremely flawed from a design standpoint. A lot of the NG1 pros even couldn't stand many aspects of the sequel. I personally enjoyed it in spite of its problems, I think out of all my friends I'm the only one who finished it as well. From the looks of it though, this game isn't going to be as interesting as 1 or 2. I hate the fact that you can only use swords in NG3. They removed the staff, flails, kusarigama, tonfas, etc. All you can use now are swords. Who thought that was a good idea?
  • There also isn't any dismemberment in this one, they wanted to tone down the violence abit. I played it in August at a game conference and I can say without a doubt that you couldn't cut off any body parts, lots of blood though.
  • @9. Wait, they got rid of all the other weapons? Why on earth did they do that? I LOVED the talons, and it just wouldn't be a NG without the flails. Wow, I want to like this game as I loved 1 and liked 2. But I have some real concerns....
  • Pre-ordered it today!
  • Seeing the same type of execution twice in one trailer is a bad sign.
  • A giant robot T-Rex in a missile facility? Okay.
  • @14 - thats the only thing saving this game for me. Less weapons, less ways to kill enemies, no dismemberments... may as well call this Ninja Gaiden: The poof edition I will still play it at some point (when its £10) because theres a serious lack of hack n slash and ninja related games. The only others i can think of that were worth playing were bayonetta and dantes inferno
