While we’re yet to hear any official word on a Bayonetta sequel, we do know where the game’s eponymous heroine will appear next.
According to Famitsu, Bayonetta herself will be available as a playable character in the Japanese release of Platinum Games’ upcoming brawler, Anarchy reigns. For those that pre-order, that is.
Continuing Platinum Games’ recent run of insanely over-the-top action titles (see Bayonetta and Vanquish), Anarchy Reigns features an insane-sounding multiplayer mode in which up to eight players can go at each other. We reckon having Bayonetta on your side might be pretty handy.
Of course, Anarchy Reigns isn’t the only game Platinum are currently beavering away on. There’s also the small matter of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, the project that Platinum took control of when Hideo Kojima had a bit of a creative wobble. On the studio's run of from, you wouldn’t bet against them making another corker.
Of course, all of this is getting away from the issue: Bayonetta will be a pre-order bonus in Japan for Anarchy Reigns. Can we expect to see a similar deal in North America and Europe? Fingers crossed.
