Great news, I would love to jam a sequel. The game brought together a lot of familiar and fun elements to a unique environment with an intentionally cliche story that was really entertaining to play.Thursday, March 22, 2012 @ 08:32 AM
Yep I enjoyed the first and wouldn't mind playing a sequel please. :)Thursday, March 22, 2012 @ 08:34 AM
This is great news. The first was a good bit of fun, but let's keep it to the one sequel. Don't want to spoil this now.Thursday, March 22, 2012 @ 08:35 AM
I'd be up for a sequel as well!Thursday, March 22, 2012 @ 08:37 AM
they already have Lolipop Chainsaw coming out this year which is looking to be the same type of game, good enough as a sequel to meThursday, March 22, 2012 @ 08:47 AM
i hate EAThursday, March 22, 2012 @ 08:51 AM
No such thing as too many Suda51 games. If they make a sequel to this, I'll buy it. At least we get Lollipop Chainsaw in a few months.Thursday, March 22, 2012 @ 08:56 AM
This might be good. I loved Shadows but not sure where they'd take it! And jeez, those BIG BONER sections were annoying!!! Garcia Fu**ing Hotspur!!Thursday, March 22, 2012 @ 08:57 AM
Considering how poorly it sold I'm surprised EA is even considering it. Don't get me wrong, it was fun and nice to see a game that had humor that didn't seem to wink at me five seconds going "AM I FUNNY?!" and have decent gameplay too. I'd definitely play a sequel if it saw the light of day.Thursday, March 22, 2012 @ 09:05 AM
I'd definately buy it... but I'm not so sure this is a great idea tbh the original sold deplorably.Thursday, March 22, 2012 @ 09:20 AM
Great game . Just wondering if anymore dick jokes exist for a sequel ?Thursday, March 22, 2012 @ 09:24 AM
Great game, probably one of the most underrated gems of 2011, right up there with Alice: Madness Returns. Ironically, they were both games published by EA that seemingly didn't see a dime in terms of advertising.Thursday, March 22, 2012 @ 09:34 AM
I'd preorder it like right now. Just please, make the difficulty achievements stack this time.Thursday, March 22, 2012 @ 09:34 AM
Wow I'm genuinely surprised. The game unfortunately sold pretty terribly. Amazed EA would be up for a sequel, good on them. The game was a really great, unique and interesting experience like most Suda games lol. I think everyone always knew it wouldn't sell well so maybe they were prepared though. You had a game quite light on content, no multiplayer, no NG+, punk/metal music, odd style and the real killer it was horror comedy. Horror comedy is notorious for being a difficult to sell genre.Thursday, March 22, 2012 @ 09:35 AM
F***! I misread this for shadow of collossus! If only..Thursday, March 22, 2012 @ 09:35 AM
This is a surprise. Shadows of the Damned barely sold a copy, and EA didn't seem interested in marketing in the first place. I'm a Suda-fanboy so I knew it was coming out and had it pre-ordered, but most gamers I knew didn't even know it existed until it was already released.Thursday, March 22, 2012 @ 09:54 AM
I recently completed the original,I'll be more than happy with a sequel.... Johnsons a legend !Thursday, March 22, 2012 @ 10:05 AM
SotD was a great game! Even though I had to play it three times through for the 1k, I enjoyed it a lot. The humor was wicked funny lolThursday, March 22, 2012 @ 10:11 AM
I'm all for it. SotD was my favorite game of last year, Grasshopper is one of my favorite developers and Suda is a genius. I would like to see him go back to something as crazy as killer7.Thursday, March 22, 2012 @ 10:23 AM
This is great news. Surprising considering the sales of the first, but still awesome!Thursday, March 22, 2012 @ 10:50 AM
Please have a sequel to this. The game was really good, despite the sales.Thursday, March 22, 2012 @ 11:06 AM
Enjoyed the original, this time maybe the most interesting boss won't just be a dumb cardboard cut out in a side scroller shmup when it comes to fight them ...Thursday, March 22, 2012 @ 12:02 PM
The ending of the first one sets up perfectly for a sequel. One of the best games of last yearThursday, March 22, 2012 @ 12:41 PM
Oh yes please please please!!!Thursday, March 22, 2012 @ 01:08 PM
Sold. Further adventures of Garcia, Johnson, Paula and Fleming would be top of my want list!

Suda51‘s studio Grasshopper Manufacture is planning a follow-up to Shadows of the Damned, according to composer Akira Yamaoka.
“I’m thinking of a sequel, actually,” said Yamaoka at the London launch of XBLA shooter Sine Mora. “I can’t tell you here, but clearly I’d like to.”
What’s more, it seems EA - via the EA Partners programme - are also keen on the idea. When asked if the label was interested, Yamaoka replied, “Probably,” before adding, “Well, yes.”
Shadows of the Damned was released last year, picking up some fans for it's bonkers action stylings. Not quite so enthusatic, in our review Dan said, "Grasshopper nearly has the makings of a franchise that could have a decent future."
Sine Mora is out now on XBLA. If bullet-ridden shooters are your thing, check it out. It's good.
