SEGA has confirmed that the previously Japan-only Bayonetta pre-order bonus for Anarchy Reigns will be heading to western shores, enabling players to use Bayonetta as a playable character in the game's frantic online multiplayer brawls.
Furthermore, it's been confirmed that the final version of Anarchy Reigns will feature no less than eleven multiplayer modes to get swept up in, including Deathmatch, Battle Royale, Death Ball and Survival. These modes will support 2, 4 or 8 players battling out at once, but the maximum number for all out melee combat will now see 16 fighters duking it out in the online arena.
Think about that one. 16 players all simultaneously punching the living crap out of one another? We went hands-on with Anarchy Reigns at Gamescom last year, and found that four players fighting was frenetic enough. 16 player mash ups ought to be interesting to say the least.
Check out the Japanese trailer below to see Bayonetta mixing it up in Anarchy Reigns, which is out on July 3rd in North America and July 6th in Europe.
