Twisted Pixel has announced that Ms. Splosion Man is coming to Windows Phone 7 and Games for Windows Live.

The award-winning platformer, which hit XBLA last summer, is Twisted Pixel’s first mobile game. “But it’s very important to us that we have great content on these high-end platforms,” explained Twisted Pixel’s Michael Wilford, “so these new versions are being painstakingly crafted to be as awesome as possible.

“We’re planning a lot of post-launch updates and support to make sure we get it right.”

Ms. Splosion Man ‘splodes “this summer.”  Price and release dates will be announced at a later time.

  • Interesting to see Microsoft release a game on iPad. Good for them.
  • Sadly that game is too difficult for me.
  • @1 what are you talking about? Microsoft aren't releasing the game. Plonker.
  • I wish M$ would quit trying to cash in on games that most ppl like myself have bought on Xbox Live and make my WP7 worth it, and put out some awesome original IP's. Just saying
  • Good, but im still waiting for Peggle, come on popcap!
  • @1 & 4 - you do realise that Twisted Pixel make this game, not Microsoft? Microsoft only published it on XBLA, but Irony Galaxy, Fire Hose and Panic Button Studios are publishing it on the other platforms. Can't believe either way that you're against a developer wanting to expand their fanbase, that's how most companies survive. Unless you want to see TP die as a company like a lot have been doing recently...
  • Knew there was a reason I haven't picked it up on the 360 yet
  • Mircosoft own Twisted Pixel
  • Yeah,didn't M$ recently buy Twisted Pixel?
  • WP7 => that's cool !
  • Whoo gonna get it for my wp7 so I can rage at school lolololol I onl have like 40G on te xbla version and can't be arsed to go back and play it..
  • @3 @6 Do you realized that Twisted Pixel is a Studio owned by Microsoft, right? They were bought a few months back and now are part of the Microsoft Studios. So Microsoft is letting them release the game on iOS (well, the development of the game may have started before the studio was sold to MS). Twisted Pixel cannot release anything without Microsoft letting them do so. Well, there are already a few Microsoft Games on iOS, like Kinectimals, so no big deal.
  • yea @12 ms did buy twisted pixel but the reason they will release it on ios is the fact they know that wp7 is still a small user base and it takes a large user base to recoup costs to release even a mobile title, thats why kinectimals was ported to ios. if wp7 or even 8 takes off the way they want we will see alot of exclusive titles.
  • Sweet, jus not a £5.49 price tag please!
  • I love my WP7 but platforming on it is terrible. I'll still buy it if it has a separate achievement list though lol...
  • Day one for sure :D I love splosion man :D
  • @15 What about it being on Wp7 makes platforming horrible? Aren't all smartphones touch these days? I tell you, any opportunity to bash your own phone...
  • @5 i'm with you on the Peggle front! Got it on 2 platforms already so why not make it my third!
  • the article doesn't even mention iOS...
  • u guys do realize that microsoft own twisted pixel right?hence y them putting it on ipod is weird and im exicted for this!
  • @6 When the hell did I say I was against them expanding an IP? I said "Good for them." I think it's a great business move. It's just like how Microsoft let Rare develop Viva Piñata: Pocket Paradise for the Nintendo DS to expand that franchise. And Microsoft owns Twisted Pixel. So yes, they do have say in what platforms Twisted Pixel develops for. http://kotaku.com/twisted-pixel/ As I said, good for them. Nowhere was I negative about the situation.
  • As a HUGE Twisted Pixel fan, i'll no doubt buy it again. I'm surprised TP haven't announced anything new for XBLA this year. If they're taking a break, then that's totally understandable what with 2 games in the last year & 3 pieces of excellent DLC for The Gunstringer.
