Grand Theft Auto V Rumoured to Be Launching This October

There have been all sorts of rumours and speculation regarding Grand Theft Auto V's potential launch date, but none of them have really held much water to date. However, this one could have a grain of credibility to it, as it's been spotted on the CV of one of Rockstar North's Character Animators, Alex O'Dwyer.
In development at Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto V is apparently slated for an October 2012 release according to the offending CV, which has since been pulled. An October launch would fit with the usual Grand Theft Auto release date trend (excepting Grand Theft Auto IV), but would not fit in with Rockstar's usual strategy of focusing on and releasing no more than one title a year.
Max Payne 3 is next on Rockstar's release agenda this May, so GTA V launching in October seems like a long shot, and as Joystiq also notes, it seems somewhat unlikely that 2K and Rockstar parent company Take-Two would want to put Rockstar's biggest franchise up against 2K Games' BioShock Infinite in the same month.
As ever then, you can file this one under 'rumour'. An October 2012 release for GTA V could happen, but it's very highly unlikely. We're betting on a Q1 2013 launch...
