Rayman Origins
Rayman Origins Sequel Apparently Outed By Marketing Survey

We absolutely loved Rayman Origins, so the prospect of a sequel is an enticing one. And according to a recent marketing survey, there's a strong hint that a second Rayman Origins could be in the offing, with mythical creatures like dragons, vampires and ghosts, as well as Greek gods and castles in the game.

An anonymous tipster sent images from the rumoured Rayman Origins sequel to Kotaku, including the shot featuring a big purple dragon and a little fella on stilts below. You can see Rayman climbing the dragon's tail in the image. The survey responsible for the images comes from marketing group Arkenford who have dealt regularly with Ubisoft in the past, giving this a slight ring of credibility.

Or, it could just be a lot of hot air. It is only a marketing site after all. If the Rayman Origins sequel proves to be a reality however, then no doubt Ubisoft will be gearing up for an announcement soon. It'll also retain the 4-player drop-in/drop-out co-op that made Rayman Origins such a blast, while adding a host of other features if the source proves to be credible. Check out the pic below.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make online co-op, all my friends live around the world these days so local co-op is near impossible!

I have only played the demo so far, but my one criticism with the game is that Rayman is a bit too small on the screen. I wish he was at least the same size as the previous games. He just seems to get a bit lost in the huge backgrounds. That screenshot is actually a good example of what I mean.

The first was bloody amazing, not to mention visually beautiful. Great fun, but online co op would be nice.

Ubisoft, please tell us if Marketing Survey is real because Rayman Origins is amazing and one of best platformers in 2011 and one of best all-time.

I want see more Rayman. Online coop will be great add in but if not then it is doesn't as long Rayman Origins 2 is again another amazing series and platformer. :)

We love you Rayman. :):)

God I would love for a sequel to this game. IMO, Origins was the most underrated game of last year. All it needed was online Co-op, and if that happens in a new game, I don't see where it can go wrong :)

As much as I liked the 1st origins... they said the money was going to beyond good and evil 2. And beyond good and Evil 2 is WAY higher on my list than another origins game. Seeing as this is in development they BETTER give us both or they lied. Either way I still think they would have made BG&E2 with or without the success of rayman origins.

I would like to point to the fact that Rayman Origins had Ubisoft's highest review score average on Metacritic. When you consider the fact that Ubisoft spent a lot more money buying advertising space for Assassin's Creed: Revelations, this is quite remarkable.

Anyway, just be glad that Ubisoft hasn't put the money towards Imagine Babies 3DS or something.

I know their sales were subpar regardless of critical reception. But I wouldn't opt DLC out, I don't think there was any so far?

I am glad that there making new sequel to Rayman Origins. The game was very fun to play and the hard challenges that they had in the game. I will be waiting to see what will be new and what will happen next in the game story. I love to see what will be new! ^_^

Rayman Origins was one of the hardest platformers I think I have ever played. I LOVE the visuals and graphics though. I would love a second game...ONLINE CO-OP is a MUST!
