Konami has officially lifted the lid on this year’s iteration of Pro Evolution Soccer. According to the publisher, PES 2013 sees the series "returning to its roots.”
Hitting this autumn, PES 2013 promises "the most faithful recreation of modern day football to date", with top players “instantly recognisable via incredible likeness and signature attributes.”
Aside from that, one of the big features this year is what Konami is calling PES FullControl, a new system offering “total freedom” over the ball. It incorporates a new first touch system that allows players to choose whether they will bring the ball under control immediately, or knock it past an opponent.
Shooting will also be fully manual, with the game offering you control over the height, power and placement of the shot. Konami has slowed the action down from PES 2012 too, reducing the speed with which players dribble to be “in line with real matches”.
