Codemasters’ new DiRT spin-off title is just under a month away and in order to whet your appetite and keep you from going insane while you wait, let us help you with this here video.
We recently headed behind-the-scenes at Codemasters’ Leamington Spa based HQ in the UK and got a handful of the DiRT Showdown devs to show us some of the design work and development strategies used on the upcoming racer.
The Codemasters devs were on hand to give us a look at some of the art of the game – both from the conceptual and development stages – the physics and collision engine, some of the new features, as well as some of the cool car designs and what not. It’s a great insight into games development, as well as a look behind the scenes at one of the UK’s biggest studios and how they roll.
If you want to see more of the inner workings of Codemasters’ racing studio, check out our recent studio tour right here. If it’s DiRT Showdown you have a hankering for, then check out our latest preview and interview with Codies right here.
DiRT Showdown is scheduled for a May 24th and May 29th release in Europe and North America respectively.
