Max Payne 3 is out in just two weeks, so in anticipation of the game's impending release, Rockstar has announced its DLC plans, with support promised for the multiplayer facet with a new Rockstar Pass, just like the one introduced for LA Noire's DLC.
Promising new multiplayer maps, modes, bursts, items, playable characters, challenges and more, DLC support is planned to commence this June and continue over the coming months until autumn. "The story of Max Payne 3 begins in the single-player game and crosses over into the deepest multiplayer experience we've ever created," said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. "We intend to support the Max Payne community with new and innovative content well into the future."
'Local Justice' will be the first map pack to release for Max Payne 3, adding the Police Precinct map for Gang Wars, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Payne Killer multiplayer modes, as well as bringing an additional two maps for Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Payne Killer. There'll also be new precinct-themed multiplayer avatar items, multiplayer challenges and more.
You can pre-order the Max Payne 3 Rockstar DLC Pass from Best Buy and GameStop in the US, gaining access to all of the planned Max Payne 3 add-ons listed below. The Rockstar DLC Pass for Max Payne 3 will cost 2400 Microsoft Points, which is a 35% discount over purchasing each add-on pack separately.
