The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing Hunts on XBLA in Q4

Immortalised by Peter Cushing in the Hammer Horror movies then transformed into a joke in the Hugh Jackman movie, legendary vampire hunter, Van Helsing is coming to the Xbox Live Arcade at the end of the year for indie action RPG, The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing. Actually, scratch that... It's Van Helsing's son, also called Van Helsing.

Based loosely upon Bram Stoker's Dracula, indie dev NeoCore Games is working on the brand-new IP, bringing "fierce and demonic battles, memorable characters, and a refreshingly unique story that brings the legendary vampire slayer to modern audiences."

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing is set in a "gothic-noir universe" inspired by 19th century Europe, albeit with its own fantastical twist, packed with creatures, magic and bizarre technology. It'll have its own brand of unique humour, with a story following the exploits of Van Helsing's son, boasting "snappy dialogue" and all of the key elements you'd expect from an action RPG.

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing will be rising from its grave on the Xbox Live Arcade during late Q4 2012.

That little monster looks like Bryan Peppers. OT this could be pretty cool, a lot of the indie games I've been trying have been a lot of fun so this has potential.

I liked the Hugh Jackman movie. >_>
I also played the game on the original Xbox. I'll probably be sure to pick this up upon release.

I wouldn't call them an indie dev, the King Arthur-games are fairly big on PC. But besides that: Sounds great, really looking forward to it. This character and his universe has been completely underrated and underused recently :)

I thought the movie was pretty good. Much better than Hugh Jackman's other stuff except the XMen games

@13. Those prices aren't that good. You could do better at an outlet. Go whore yourself out on another website or park your car idle in a closed garage.

I thought the film was pretty good, it had some humour in it which was fine but I wouldn't say the character was a joke, I'd take a sequal and this game too if it looks as good as it sounds.

I like the art, I just hope it's not another beat em up with some upgrade options. All these types of games on Arcade are getting old fast. There is only hand full of original titles left at this point...

I'm sorry guys, but he's right, the movie was terrible! I mean really, really awful! I wouldn't blame Hugh Jackman particularly though, just the director...and the writer(s)...and the producers...and the actors, especially the guy playing dracula...and the cameramen, and the caterers, and the grips, did i miss anyone? Oh yeah, the sound guys...and the editors...
