Final Fantasy XIII-2
Final Fantasy XIII-2 Snow and Lightning DLC Out Now

Final Fantasy XIII-2's final DLC is now available, and actually has nothing to do with weather. They are in fact new packs for Snow and Lightning, with additional outfits and some stuff to deck your Moogle out in. The biggie here though is the Lightning: Requiem of the Goddess add-on, which presumably ties up the loose threads left dangling in the main story.

As well as providing the last chapter in the FF heroine's tale, it also gives you the opportunity to add Lightning to your party. The same goes for Snow: Perpetual Battlefield, which enables you to add Snow to your party upon completing the requisite Coliseum Battles that also include metal horse man, Valfodr.

Snow: Perpetual Battlefield is available now for 320 Microsoft Points, while Lightning: Requiem of the Goddess is available for 400 Microsoft Points. You can also download Serah's Outfit: White Mage, Noel's Outfit: Black Mage and Mog's Outfits: A Wondrous Wardrobe for 240 Microsoft Points apiece. Hit the links to add them to your download queue, and check out the 35 screens in the gallery.

Kinda tempted but I'll wait and see what people say about them. I didn't buy Sazh after I read peoples thoughts on it.

You said final DLC. Is this really it? I thought they were supporting this game with alot of DLC, and stupid costumes don't count.

@ 12:

What you have to understand is that those costumes technically are DLC, and you just got played.

Just like infinity ward said with Call of Duty Elite that they would release 20 pieces of DLC per month and all the ignorant mouth foaming people ASSUMED that 20 Pieces of DLC per month = 20 new maps per month.

After a game is released, Any new content Released as digital downloadable stuff is technically and literally DLC.

@#4 - Doesn't necessarily have to be a "GOTY" edition. L.A. Noire has a "Complete Edition", so #3 probably meant something like that.

And that's what I am waiting for. A complete collection with all the DLC.

@#12 - Whether you want them to or not, costumes do count.

And this game got more than just costumes, even if you didn't like them. There were new battles (which in turn added new monsters/party members to use) and stuff like this and Sazh's gambling thing or whatever.

This is the only FF game I don't own, I have all the others but XIII put me off buying this one, I may change my mind if a Complete version with all DLC is released at some point though.

This seems to be a promising DLC splurge by Square-Enix. I probably won't be buying until, like #1, i hear reviews on the pieces. That or just find a youtube video of it. Other than that I hope this has redeemed the game in some way >.>

it was actually a good game. it fixed a lot of the problems with 13. if a goty/complete/ultimate edition doesn't end up coming out, this is still worth checking out. i'm sure there are probably some good pre-owned deals if you look around

@ #4: I don't think he means that this game is a GotY contender. I think he means that there will be an edition released with a code for all of the DLC bundled with it. Mortal Kombat, Dragon Age: Origins, and most of Rockstar's games were released as such bundles.

I just DLed and Played the Lighting: Requiem of the Goddess; and I honestly think it was not worth the price.
I LOVED Final Fantasy XIII-2 but this DLC really bummed me out. Its just that when I started it up, not knowing what it was, it seemed REALLY awesome; began with a great cinematic and everything and when it gave you control of Lightning and a new leveling system complete with new paradigms and abilities I thought this would be the terrific.
Sadly, what it boiled down to was basically one boss battle (with multiple stages) where you fight and can only move on if you receive a five-star rating. Win or Lose, you gain CP which levels you up, making the battle easier.
Just my opinion, not the worst DLC ever, but nothing special.

I bought the Lightening DLC today and was disappointed as well. I thought it was going to be a real story to it, or at least answer some questions about the ending. Nope, just one boss fight that is pretty tough until you level.

It does answer some questions about Lightening, but not much at all. She does make an awesome pet, though. You get goddess Lightening as a pet after you get 5 stars on the boss. So if you like that kind of thing then it might be worth it.

If I could do it over again, I'd just wait and watch the DLC video on YouTube.

Hopefully this Final dlc will be in the spirit of Final Fantasy and we can get some Final dlc II, Final dlc III,... Final dlc X-2, Final dlc XIII-2, But no costumes please. More story, more story, more story, & Serah lives.

I'm going to buy the Snow DLC some days after my exams, don't got the time for it now :3
I already completed the Lightning DLC and it was quite badass. And the ending made me cry. For just 400 ms points, buy it!
