I was about to write my estimation for E3 including a reveal of a new FPS by RARE. This says thats not going to happen. Gunstringer 2 and Castlevania LoS 2 might still happen.Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 06:59 AM
Perfect Dark 2, Conker sequel and a Banjo sequel and I'm sold, all of my money!Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 07:05 AM

A true sequel to Banjo Tooie please.Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 07:12 AM
lets hope any launch games thay have are miles better than the launch titles they had for 360, perfect dark zero was crap, though i'd love to see a sequal to it (or more precisley the n64 version)Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 07:21 AM
Rare's FPS attempts have never been the whole twitch gaming style that CoD uses, they are slower paced, more tactical games where you need to attempt stealth on the higher difficulties. Honestly, an FPS from them could be very refreshing. They also have some of the best IP's from the nineties, stuff like Killer Instinct, Banjo and Conker are still fan favourites even now. It's funny, I was just thinking about whether Rare would actually make use of these IP's last night. I must be psychic, I am now thinking about whether I will receiver 10 million pounds!Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 07:21 AM
I doubt most people will be expecting much from this, Rare have been decidedly 'meh for more than a few years now.Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 07:25 AM
I have such cautious optimism about this. Arguably, it's been a decade since Rare gave us the titles that made of revere them. The N64 Conkers is the last game I remember enjoying from Rare. Their new project manager needs to be able to key in on what made Rare great, while Microsoft has to tone down their influence. That's not going to happen. Microsoft truly believes they can do no wrong. When writing about their MS patriotism, their employees often paint a picture of a chest pounding gorilla.Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 07:53 AM
@8 Or maybe a prequel in the original stye? Bring on BANJO-KAZOOIE ZERO!Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 08:01 AM
Banjo or Conker game please!Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 08:10 AM
Please, a HD re-release of Conker's Bad Fur Day UNCUT on XBL...Pleeeeease.Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 08:16 AM
BANJO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ...pleaseThursday, May 17, 2012 @ 08:24 AM
I really hate that new logo compared to the old one :Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 08:35 AM
Seeing as Rare of today are pretty much a shadow of their former glorious selves, I highly doubt they'll come up with anything worthwhile.Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 08:41 AM
Conker sequel!!! plz plz plz!!!Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 08:51 AM
I'd love a new Conker.Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 08:55 AM
noob question! - what does AAA stand for??Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 08:55 AM
Lol a new Battletoads perhaps? With an even more insane level 3?Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 09:09 AM
Gr8 news please let it be a banjo game :)Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 09:14 AM
RAAAAAARE!Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 09:20 AM
As much as I love the game, I hope it's not a sequel to Conker's Bad Fur Day, the main Director, Designer, Writer and even Voice of Conker himself, Chris Seavor, no longer works for Rare (he clams he was fired). I couldn't imagine a sequel been anywhere near as good without him at the helm again. A true Banjo-Threeie would be awesome right now though.Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 09:26 AM
FINALLY! Never thought this would happen. BANJO-THREEIE PLEASE! Though i'm open to anything aslong as it isn't a kinect game or a casual family party game. Could Rare be back?Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 09:51 AM
YESSSSSSSSS! New Banjo-Kazooie, Conker, Perfect Dark, shit I'd even take a new Viva Piñata or Grabbed By The Ghoulies as long as it means they leave the Kinect.Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 10:04 AM
I loved everything rare did on N64 and nothing since they became Microsoft's bitch. hope they prove me wrong and deliver something special. @ #21 AAA = triple A, the biggest game releases are known as Triple A. Gears, CoD etc.Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 10:10 AM
The "take my money" memes are getting old now.Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 10:20 AM
Star Fox Adventures was amazing.Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 10:31 AM
i just hope we get a sequel to kameo. that would be awesome if thats what the AAA action/adventure game was. the article mentions new ip's, but doesn't explicitly say everything they are working on is a new ipThursday, May 17, 2012 @ 11:52 AM
Banjo-Kazooie 3 (proper platformer) Perfect Dark 2 Conker's Bad Fur Day 2 That'll be all.Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 12:20 PM
Yes I agree Rare need bring it's big name franchises that M$ need because M$ got few great exclusive titles on Xbox 360 which is shame unlike original Xbox got load of exclusive titles. So M$ need awake for their next generation Xbox to bring memorable franchises from RARE like Conker (this need stick it's blood and gore platformer), Banjo-Kazooie (need proper platformer since Banjo-Tooie) and Perfect Dark (Need keep FPS but not disappointed like they did with PD Zero and need long campaign). M$ need lots of exclusive titles for next generation Xbox and less Kinect exclusive titles since this generation got load of Kinect exclusive titles lol :)Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 12:26 PM
Im with 15 there, they should rerelease conker live and reloaded on xbox live arcade or games on demand, I wanna play the multiplayer part again and put in some achievements for completing all the challenges. The single player was great too tho. got the game for xbox but nonhd games look so bad on a hd tv.Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 01:03 PM
The New Console is named XBOX NEXTThursday, May 17, 2012 @ 01:48 PM
@21 always awesomely amazingThursday, May 17, 2012 @ 02:01 PM
I want a new game in the style of DK64, CBFD and the Banjo games D:Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 02:15 PM
I will pay so much money for moar Viva Pinata. C:Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 02:20 PM
They need to make another Jet Force Gemini game!!Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 05:46 PM
Whatever they make, Rare these days are not the same developers we all remember fondly from the N64, most of those left to join Free Radical ...Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 06:23 PM
New Battletoads or even Killer Instinct 3, would be much appreciated.Thursday, May 17, 2012 @ 09:56 PM
Considering the only decent games Rare has made for the 360 was Kameo and Viva Piñata I really hope it's a new IP. They shouldn't destroy the legacy of the once great franchises when they clearly can't handle them anymore. Also: Where's my **** Jet Force Gemini HD version!?Friday, May 18, 2012 @ 01:01 AM
@40, that was just the goldeneye team. OT: I'm very excited about this.Friday, May 18, 2012 @ 07:52 AM
Blast Corps 2 is badly needed.Friday, May 18, 2012 @ 01:30 PM
Perfect Dark 2!!!!! Killer Instinct 3!!!!Friday, May 18, 2012 @ 11:14 PM
Banjo Threeie and while I did Nuts & Bolts (surprisingly but only cause I like racing games like that) don't make it another sub genre D: we want the continuationSunday, May 20, 2012 @ 06:15 AM
How can they make a new Conker without Conker's creator Christopher Seavor?Sunday, May 20, 2012 @ 07:42 PM
I'd just like to see them do something not avatar related.Wednesday, May 23, 2012 @ 04:46 PM
Viva Pinata. Banjo Kazooie. Kameo.

Kinect Sports developer Rare is working on a number of titles for the next Xbox, according to job vacancies at the studio.
The description for the role states a requirement for a senior product manager to help create “multiple AAA future console releases,” including new IPs.
Though nothing is yet known about the titles, the job description does also state that Rare desire someone with experience in the action-adventure or FPS genres.
"Whilst continual development of their core releases will be maintained, the successful candidate will be joining at a time where the studio is looking to move into new areas and develop new IPs for future platforms," it reads.
"You will have a successful history of releasing exceptional AAA games and these will ideally be in the Action/Adventure or FPS genre but this is not essential."
The developer of classic titles like GoldenEye 007 and Donkey Kong Country, Rare is also know for creating the Viva Pinata and Banjo-Kazooie games. They also designed the avatars for Xbox Live and developed the Kinect Sports series.
