Gamecock Media have just released 4 new screens with some facts on their upcoming Velvet Assassin title to accompany them. This WWII, stealth, action title is based on the story of British secret agent Violette Szabo and is set to touch down in Late 2008.

The fact sheet from Gamecock precedes the screens:

TITLE: Velvet Assassin™
PLATFORM: Xbox 360 & PC
DEVELOPER: Replay Studios
GENRE: Stealth-Action

Velvet Assassin is the sumptuous new stealth-action game set to deliver a breath of fresh air into the genre and up the stakes for World War II games. Inspired by the fascinating story and unbreakable spirit of British secret agent Violette Szabo, players take control of Violette Summer, a beautiful spy deep behind enemy lines with no support or official backing from the British Government. Intense stealth-action gameplay with a startling real-time lighting system and surreal visuals combine to produce an incredible gaming experience. Velvet Assassin is set to challenge gamers to win the war from the shadows come late 2008.

Born in Devon, England, Violette Summer grew up in a happy family and had a great and active childhood. Initially, she started her working life in a beauty salon before the outbreak of war inspired her to move to London and join the weapon industry. It didn’t take too long for her to be noticed by the Secret Services; she was after all strikingly beautiful, athletic and had great attention to detail. It was only a formality that she was recruited into MI6 during Britain’s darkest hours.

As if inspiration was needed during those very bleak days, Violette had lost a close aunt during one of the first Luftwaffe bombing attacks and to further compound her terrible heartache she later lost her cherished RAF husband in battle. However, Violette was extremely strong willed and where many would have lost themselves to misery and mourning, she used these painful experiences to inspire her to succeed as a spy for the MI6.

Come late 2008 players will be able to help Violette Summer in her daring quests behind enemy lines.

Lmao. Randomly generated game. These are the types of games I hate. Just random ideas using up-to-date engines is just wrong.

"Dont want to sound sexist" - and then comes out with an extremely sexist comment. Does this work for all things? If someone says "dont want to be racict" and then goes on to say something extremely racist, does their comment make it ok?

I think not.

In regards to the game: not overly looking forward to it. But would need to see more really.

...Dont wanna sound sexist eh? Well I suggest you stopped typing at..."dont wanna sound sexist" I also suggest you get an education past the third grade level.
As for the game...nothing special looking to me.

It looks interesting. I agree - feels like assassins creed and tomb raider.
But the MGS games will always been the god of stealth games with Sam Fisher always trying to catch up... and failing.

I think it looks good. We can't judge it from 4 screens, but a WWII stealth game sound very original and could work very good, if it follows more of a MGS-style stealth rather than splinter cell or assasins creed, which wasn't stealthy at all in my opinion.

Right yeah i was a bit sexist, but i don't like the idea of playing as a girl in a video game, just doesnt have the same effect as someone like CJ or Marcus Fenix really. But what a rash statement someone made about a third grade level education or somehting. wow! first im not american so im not educated in 'grades' but 3 years ago i passed my GCSE's with 9 A*-A's and 2 Bs. im now at St Johns College in Hertfordshire and about to go to Oxford University so before ripping my intelligence i suggest you shut the fuck up
