No strangers to the DC Universe, Mortal Kombat developer NetherRealm Studios will be taking on Injustice: Gods Among Us, which will see DC Comics' finest heroes and villains pitted against one another for a new fighting game franchise.
Characters like Batman, Harley Quinn, Solomon Grundy, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman and others will face off in large-scale battles, in a world where the lines drawn between good and evil have become increasingly blurred.
“We can’t wait to reveal Injustice: Gods Among Us because it will give our fans and gamers an epic experience as they battle like gods as their favourite DC Comics villains and heroes,” said Creative Director and Mortal Kombat main man, Ed Boon. “Our team is excited to make a fighting game that is filled with fast-paced action, incredible story-telling and iconic DC Comics characters.”
Injustice: Gods Among Us is slated for a 2013 launch, with the logo being the only thing revealed thus far. Expect more from E3 next week. Fingers crossed.
