Having unveiled Monolith's Lord of the Rings and Hobbit MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena), Warner Bros Games has today released the first trailer for Guardians of Middle-earth, offering a CG glimpse of the kind of 5v5 battles you can expect when the game releases later this year.
Pitting the likes of Gandalf, Sauron, Legolas, Gollum, Thráin, Gimli and others against one another, Guardians of Middle-earth will feature 20 characters in total, with battles being fought in various locations that presumably include the likes of Minas Tirith, the Black Gate and so on.
Guardians of Middle-earth will be launching on the Xbox Live Arcade as a tie-in with The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey movie, and several new playable guardians will also launch in conjunction with the film this autumn. Guardians of Middle-earth will be coming to XBLA for 1200 Microsoft Points. Check out the vid.
