Nike and Microsoft have teamed up to create a new game for Xbox 360 that utilises the sports brand's Nike+ Fuel system. Due out later in the year, the new game will use Kinect to monitor you as you exercise.

"Whatever your fitness goal, Nike+ Kinect Training will give you the tools to get you there.,” says the blurb. “Through the magic of Kinect, the personal trainers within the experience can see how your body moves, assess your physical strengths and athleticism, identify areas for improvement, and create a personalized workout plan to help you achieve your personal best.”

"With real-time feedback to make sure positions and movements are correct, the Nike+ Kinect Training custom program evolves as you do, helping you get fitter, faster and stronger."

The game takes you through a series of tests, including stretching and push-ups, in order to asses your fitness. It will then come up with a personalised training regime.

"Through the magic of Kinect, the personal trainers within the experience can see how your body moves, assess your physical strengths and athleticism, identify areas for improvement, and create a personalized workout plan to help you achieve your personal best,” the blurb blurbles on.

All activity is recorded, with reassessments taking place at regular intervals.

It also comes with a Windows Phone app so it can bug you when you’re out down the pub getting fat and drunk. Sorry, I mean it also comes with an app so that you can be sent reminders of your activities and review your progress.
