Microsoft’s Summer of Arcade 2012 has been confirmed at this year’s E3 and, as ever, it’s bringing a bunch of great titles with it.
Very soon you'll be able to get your hands on Hybrid, Wreckateer, Deadlight, Tony Hawks Pro Skater HD and Dust: An Elysian Tale.
Below you’ll find all of the E3 screens and/or trailers for the entire line-up, along with a nice little trailer that provides a neat overview of all of them. Click on the game titles to see even more new screens.
A date for the promotion has yet to be announced, however Xbox.com did briefly list Tony Hawks Pro Skater HD for a July 11th release, before quickly taking the details offline. We’ll bring proper dates, and prices, as soon as we can.
Hybrid is a futuristic third person shooter, featuring some pretty badass looking jetpack action. Developed by Scribblenauts creators 5th Cell, it’ll be interesting to see what twists they can bring to the experience.
Demoed during Microsoft’s E3 press conference, Wreckateer is an Angry Birds-esque Kinect game in which you must fing things at castles to make them come crashing down. Could be mildly diverting.
Deadlight is a monochrome platformer from developers Tequila Works. Set in a dark, apocalyptic version of 1980s America, the game follows Randall Wayne, who must take on zombies and solve puzzles in order to survive.
Tony Hawks Pro Skater HD
Tony Hawks Pro Skater HD slaps together the best bits from the first two, classic, Tony Hawks games. If you’ve only played the more recent efforts in the series, you’re in for a treat. This is one of our most anticipated digital titles.
Dust: An Elysian Tale
The winner of Microsoft’s 2009 Dream.Build.Play Challenge, Dust: An Elysian Tale is a 2D action game overflowing with flashy combat. It also has a rather nice hand-drawn, colourful art style to it. If Deadlight seems a bit grim for you, Dust may be worth a look.
