Ruffian, the Dundee-based studio behind Crackdown 2, is working on a multiplayer mode for upcoming Crytek Kinect title, Ryse.
That’s according to the CVs of a number of Ruffian employees, one of which says that the studio is working on an "Unannounced Kinect Title" for Microsoft and Crytek featuring "multiplayer arenas."
Another CV mentions work on "a multiplayer map for a first person melee combat game based in the CryEngine" for Xbox 360.
Despite the "unannounced" tags, both CVs certainly refer to Ryse. The ancient Rome set brawler was announced for Kinect at last year’s E3. And while it has pretty much gone missing since, Microsoft promises that "You'll see more about that game, no doubt.”
Since coming to light one of the CVs has been replaced by rather amusing Jurassic Park image.
Today’s news marks the first time that a multiplayer aspect has been linked with the game. We’ll bring official word as and when it comes.
