Tiger Woods 09 - Meet the Performance Coach

A new addition to the Tiger Woods franchise this year is the inclusion of Tiger Woods' real life personal coach, Hank Haney as your own personal in-game trainer. Assessing you in the four different areas of the game, Haney will be constantly assessing your power, accuracy, short game and putting.

The skill level in the title this year is dynamic and it will change throughout the round just like it would if you were to take a 5 Iron down to the local park today. After you've finished your round, prepare to get grilled by Haney himself as he gives you  customised feedback on the round itself, good or bad, so be prepared. Check out the video below and the screens for more insight.

Tiger Woods 09 is slated for a 26th August release.

EA didn't mess any of these games up yet, and this one looks even better.

There's a gimmick if there ever was one.

EA do have a tendency to throw them onto new games and improve little else. I'd buy this if there were more courses, more players, better graphics, and tweaks to the gameplay. Not for some gimmicky trainer after every round...

I used to love all the Tiger games but ever since 2005 they've been all about the same in my opinion. An extra feature here or there, but I've been itching to get my hands on a new one for a little while now.
I'm looking forward to this.

I must agree with a few of the coments above, they seam to have not changed much over the past few years..
I have always been a big "Tiger" game fan but we deserve a little more variety..

I suppose its fingers crossed for the personal coach

if they fix online connectivity, get rid of gamernet cheevs, have the k club and some other new courses, i might think about buying it..... but they pissed me off so bad last year.

I haven't owned a Tiger game since 2005 and I liked that one, my guy was pretty damn good too. But I wanted 08 the other day, its a good thing I held off..

I am gonna buy this instead
