My friends all thought I was an idiot for waiting for the MW3 DLC to go on sale before I bought it. This will show them.Wednesday, July 04, 2012 @ 05:54 AM
MW3 map packs on sale this early? Has Activision lost it?!Wednesday, July 04, 2012 @ 05:54 AM
Wow, took them long enough for black ops. Feeling a little sorry for my cousin and his willpower to buy elite 1st day. Ahhh well, good news for us tight wallets!Wednesday, July 04, 2012 @ 06:04 AM
I've got all the MW3 content thats been released, but i'm weary to buy Black Ops DLC...does anyone still play it now?Wednesday, July 04, 2012 @ 06:31 AM
I bought all Black Ops DLC on day one anyway... Zombies is fun... think i'll pass on all MW3 DLC.Wednesday, July 04, 2012 @ 06:32 AM
@4 Dude the Black Ops DLC is worth it just for Zombies alone... and still lots of people play zombies.Wednesday, July 04, 2012 @ 06:58 AM
Either Activision has gained a heart, decided it needs to look like it has one for its public image...or MW3 figures aren't as high as expected...I wonder...Wednesday, July 04, 2012 @ 07:20 AM
Lol. Die, CoD, Die.Wednesday, July 04, 2012 @ 07:24 AM
@7 i dont think its mw3 sale figures that are the problem, i just think acti see this as a good time for a bit of pr'ing.Wednesday, July 04, 2012 @ 07:59 AM
Bobby Kotick has the word 'Charity' stitched onto his wallet.Wednesday, July 04, 2012 @ 08:45 AM
Cod multiplayer is shit but zombies on the other hand is great.Wednesday, July 04, 2012 @ 08:53 AM
What does "a portion" of the profits going to charity mean? Are we talking 5% or 75%. Pretty cheap to mention charity and then not be clear how much of this cake they're giving away.Wednesday, July 04, 2012 @ 08:54 AM
Uhhh, ok? This was already announced in "this week on xbox live". Why make another article about it? I know, because were talking about the over-rated piece of crap COD. You guys never make another article when you announce other DLC/Games when already mentioned on "this week on xbox live", so why do it to this game? Can't go a day with out seeing COD somewhere. I'm sure this is good news for the trillions of fans, but like I said you already announced it in "this week on xbox live".Wednesday, July 04, 2012 @ 09:12 AM
Well this'll give the people that were too cheap to buy ELITE a chance to get the new maps at a low price. Beyond that, I'm very excited to see the Zombies maps go on sale. Too bad my friends will likely be too cheap to pick them up. :(Wednesday, July 04, 2012 @ 09:23 AM
@13 U madWednesday, July 04, 2012 @ 09:31 AM
So part of the $7.50 goes to charity? Sounds pretty good. But like #12 asks, I wonder how much of that is the charity portion.Wednesday, July 04, 2012 @ 09:39 AM
Everyone can talk bad about CoD all you want but MW1 and United Offense were the shit! fact is factWednesday, July 04, 2012 @ 09:51 AM
@13 Wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning? The article you're referring too is discussing all deals this week. This article is pointing out Activisons intent to give a percentage to charity. Think a bit before you look like a tool.Wednesday, July 04, 2012 @ 10:23 AM
I don't see EA doing awesome stuff like this.Wednesday, July 04, 2012 @ 10:44 AM
@ # 17; re your post; 'Everyone can talk bad about CoD all you want but MW1 and United Offense were the shit! fact is fact' CoD4/MW1 was & is the shit... undeniable. The slew of crappy no-effort sequels since have been sorley lacking, & uninspiring to play for prolonged periods. Way to kill the golden goose etc.Wednesday, July 04, 2012 @ 10:54 AM
Hopefully black ops 2 will be good. recon FS was :, and bf 2142 was : as well. I hope BO2 will be what MW1 was to modern shooters.Wednesday, July 04, 2012 @ 11:55 AM
@ #20: Kill the golden goose? Have you ever seen any of the sales figures or online activity ranks for MW2 and MW3? The readily-available facts sink your statement's battleship. If MW4 is in the cards for next year, it will sell just as well and probably better. OT: I haven't played either game and never will, but it's cool that Activision is doing this for a good cause. It's not the first time they've done something for the troops.Wednesday, July 04, 2012 @ 12:19 PM
Kind of a kick in the balls to everybody that bought eliteWednesday, July 04, 2012 @ 12:37 PM
@23 it would be even worse if it was an elite subscription that was on sale :DWednesday, July 04, 2012 @ 01:48 PM
22 and 23: Both good points. lol It's hard, you know? We buy stuff we want, even though we know it'll go on sale some day, probably, but then we do want to complain when it does go on sale, myself included. But, it's oh well. At least now our non-Elite friends have options for obtaining the map packs without paying out the ass for it. On another note though, these maps suck... basically all the map packs suck for this game. I disable them at the start of every session. lolWednesday, July 04, 2012 @ 02:28 PM
thanks for the sale! I used it to buy map pack 3 for black opsWednesday, July 04, 2012 @ 03:26 PM
Only charity I see is we donating money to Activision.Wednesday, July 04, 2012 @ 03:55 PM
Me thinks MW3 didnt sell as well as BLOPS. Poor Acti. Must be so hard being multi billionaires and having to close down studios.Wednesday, July 04, 2012 @ 04:11 PM
@25. Yeah I know. Really the only reason that I got Elite was cause I had the extra cash to spend on it. And I try not to get into the COD bashing cause I do actually like the games but I definitely agree with you about the maps. The spec ops missions aren't too bad but the multiplayer is fucking atrocious. I played it for like a week after it came out before it started to piss me off.Wednesday, July 04, 2012 @ 04:16 PM
just needed Resurrection, and bought it on this weeks deal :)Wednesday, July 04, 2012 @ 07:53 PM
If they were serious, they'd give it all to charity. Not a "portion." But, hey, they have stock value to think about.Wednesday, July 04, 2012 @ 09:10 PM
@31 Call of Duty XP last year gave 100% of profits to charity.Thursday, July 05, 2012 @ 12:42 PM
Dlc for bad games is always cool i guess? This series has gone downhill from 3. I was never one to buy into the COD hype but maybe im smart due to this? I dont know but i For one am kinda hoping that black ops 2 does really bad so that maybe they will be forced to change the series or better yet STOP MAKING COD GAMES!! they are going on 20 different titles and more than half have been the same thing copy and pasted. People need to open their eyes and stop giving them sales or it will never endThursday, July 05, 2012 @ 12:44 PM
*buys Rezurrection DLC on July 2nd* sees this news announcement FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU- ;(Sunday, July 29, 2012 @ 03:43 PM
wish i had been paying attention for that..
