We've had the achievements for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure HD Ver. knocking around the front page for a few days now, but Capcom has today officially announced that the eye-hurting and utterly unique 2D fighter originally released on the SEGA Dreamcast back in 2000, will be heading to the Xbox Live Arcade next month.
Based upon the popular anime, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure HD Ver. boasts the game's original gameplay mechanics alongside retina-scorching HD visuals, although you can play the game with the classic arcade style intact in Arcade SD mode if you so wish.
The game will also have all-new online features, including an online matching system that'll choose opponents based on their location, skill and connection speed. You'll earn Battle Points during online matches and work your way up the leaderboards. There'll also be an eight-player winner stays on multiplayer lobby where you can spectate the action while you're waiting for a fight.
There'll also be replay sharing using the game's video functionality. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure HD Ver. will be launching on the Xbox Live Arcade on August 22nd for 1600 Microsoft Points. You can check out all ten screens from the game in the gallery.
