Dead Island developer Techland is working on bringing a new game to PC and consoles. Codenamed Project Hell, the title is currently being developed by a small team at the Polish studio.
According to the official blog, Project Hell is a first-person hack-and-slash title that began life as a Dead Island mod by programmer, Marcin "MZM" Zygadlo. Apparently, the studio was so impressed with the mod that they decided to turn it into Project Hell.
"Our main goal is to make a game we can all enjoy playing so don't expect unicorns and fairies - we prefer breaking through hordes of undead minions only to slaughter their devilish and loathsome masters in a bloody boss-fight," said designer and project manager Marcin "Kruq" Kruczkiewicz.
As yet the game is only in development for PC, but Techland are hoping to bring the game to consoles too. "We're currently working on the PC version but Xbox 360 and PS3 versions are also possible. It all depends on how the game is received," revealed the developer.
