Shank developer Klei Entertainment has released its latest game on the Xbox Live Arcade today, the stealthy Mark of the Ninja. A side-scrolling action game that has you smashing lights, evading guards, cutting up enemies and stashing their bodies, Mark of the Ninja is a 2D stealth fest.

"A ninja is powerful yet fragile. Quick but deliberate," reads the game blurb on "Mark of the Ninja is a stealth platformer that puts you in control of a Ninja who's clan is in danger of extinction. Observe your enemies from the darkness, manipulate them with simple yet versatile tools, and experience what it is to be a Ninja. From the award-winning studio that brought you Shank, Mark of the Ninja is a game about finesse, manipulation, and sacrifice."

Check out the old Mark of the Ninja trailer below for a look at the game in action. You can add Mark of the Ninja to your download queue here. It's available now for 1200 Microsoft Points.

Def not looks bad and it seems lately we have a bunch of rather good XBLA games released, but i wish they priced those games for around 800MSP and not 1200MSP, it woudn,t be the first time they charge you 1200MSP at launch and when i bought it soon after they make a sale price on it around 800MSP, example "Bloodforge" Was 1200MSP is 800MSP at this moment ;) So if your intrested in this game but hate to spend 1200MSP just wait a month or so ;)

I thought it was 800, went to buy it and saw the price. I have 1200, but I'm not willing to spend it. I'll wait for a price drop :(

@6 the average length is about 6-8 hours. $15 is enough for an arcade title that long that offers reply value due to its scoring system and leader boards. his is better value than most retail games.

@5 Bloodforge is 600MSP not 800.

Looks like the old school Ninja Gaiden games with major stealth additions as opposed to the run-n-gun (or should I say run-n-slice) formula. Looks pretty good but will probably wait for DOTW.

I was expecting it to be 800 points after seeing it was going to be that much in the news post about arcade stuff for this week and next. Kind of sad I'm not going to have this extra 400 points, but it's not going to stop me from buying this. Looks awesome.

I'll give it a shot, but will most likely wait for DoTW as I don't even have time to play what I already have=/

Played the first mission and I was hooked :-)
Gameplay is good, but might get repetitive. Dust also had repetitive gameplay, but Dust is stil on of the best arcade titles out there.

I just tried the trial version and was really impressed, if I hadn't spent a 1000pts on Bloodforge and Warp, I'd have bought it. I'll have to pick up some more points for it.

Why are so many gamers such cheapskates? Developers like the ones behind this game deserve every one of those 1200 points, especially with how good it is.

May i remind those that just say BUY IT!! That some are on a tight budget gamewise and only can spend so much money or microsoft points each month that they can,t go buy every arcade or retail game that comes out ;) So if your one of the lucky ones with either one of those: Rich parents, won money in lottery, married rich wife, having a splendid job and a very awesome boss that gives you a salery raise each month, robbed a bank, or found a large money cash formaly belong to the maffia. For those not having one of those above we indeed can be cheap cunts and have to make dessions on what we buy for our precious MSP ;)

@29 - Most people fully understand that but were talking £4 difference. I mean if you cant occasionally spare that every once in a while then i dont knw what to suggest.

^ Thank you for that voice of reason. People who wait months and months just to save 400 Microsoft points are either incredibly frugal or don't really want the game. It's just $5 more. What can you get for $5 these days, a gallon of gas?

#13: Talk about a backhanded compliment.

#32/33: You act like no-one has a big list of other games they can play first before this eventually winds up on sale. the can also buy retail titles, play finish, resell, use to buy another cheaper retail game, play, finish, resell, money for another cheaper retail game, etc. The inability to resell these things once you're done with them it's non surprise people hold off until they're at their cheapest.
These aren't priority nor massively hyped titles. Just look at the number of reviews for this (13 on Metacritic) compared to a Saints Row title. These go to the back of the line.

@35 I agree, but i do understand their part aswell, as i said its just my oppinion and ofcourse its just 5$ more but lets not forget as you wrote these games once you finished them have no resale value (XBLA) Same goes for those overpriced on deman games, do they realy have to charge you more for an 3 or more months old game then they would ask you in your local gamestore? I mean c,mon it actualy should be cheaper on demand, no package no cover, no manual, and no resale value. Honestly i understand each of your points and oppinions, and thus its fine by me if you buy all those arcade games the moment they come out, and its not the 5$ that bothers me but the fact that i had it way to many times i went there bought an XBLA or DLC only to find out a week or two later they put it into sales for less and thats my whole point.

This game is brilliant.

2D stealth is something I've never encountered before but it's such a good idea.

@35 - Nope im not acting like anything. Playing and finishing other games and then finding out a game you wanted has gone on sale when you get round to it is totally different than wanting it now but refusing to pay a measly £4 to get it. I trade games in myself to get money off other titles but most i keep. Do gamers not replay titles anymore? Do you just buy a game, finish it and then thats it? Most XBLA titles have replay value in spades due to the more "arcade" old school designs.
