Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes may be taking the series into open-world territory for the first time, but unfortunately it’ll also be bringing loading screens with it.
That’s according to Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima. It means that rather than sneaking and romping around the game’s open environment freely, you’ll occasionally have to pause while the new area is loaded up.
Not the end of the world, of course, but a minor irritation nevertheless.
Beyond that we also have a few other snippets of fresh information. Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes will apparently feature a day and night cycle, something that Kojima hope will boost replayability. Apparently, differences will be apparent in the world depending on the time of day. Stuff like troop patterns.
Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes was announced a couple of weeks ago at the Metal Gear 25th anniversary event. Since then we've seen a bunch of footage and learned some new deets. Loading screens or no loading screens, we're pumped.
