Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collector's Set Out Today

Announced back in May, today sees the launch of the super sexy Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collector's Set in North America, leaving the rest of the world looking on greener than Blanka with pure envy. The multiple disc set bundles almost all of the Street Fighter loveliness you could ever ask for, with the notable absence of Street Fighter 1, where it all started 25 years ago. Oops.

Still, how can you complain when you get all of this stuff in one big old box. It's got a light-up Ryu statue! Shoryuken! Here's the contents in full:

  • Past and Present Street Fighter Games – Playable on current gen PS3 and Xbox 360 console systems, the four critically-acclaimed titles selected from the star-studded catalog are: Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, Street Fighter III 3rd Strike Online Edition, Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition with all costume DLC, and Street Fighter X Tekken including all character and Swap Costume DLC.
  • Exclusive Video – The two-disc Blu-Ray set includes a documentary that highlights the profound influence the franchise has had on fans - and vice versa - throughout the years. The collection of videos also includes Street Fighter IV and Super Street Fighter IV Anime movies as well as all episodes of the Street Fighter animated series and Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie.
  • Light-up Ryu Statue – A specially commissioned and highly-detailed collectable Ryu statue stands prominently at 8” tall and features the iconic character in mid-Shoryuken, with flames lit from below.
  • 11-Disc Soundtrack – Street Fighter game music spanning the past 25 years, in addition to remixes and fan-created music inspired by past Street Fighter games.
  • 64-page Hardcover Art Book – A tribute to Street Fighter game fans from all over the world, the art book includes fan pieces submitted by professional and aspiring artists alike.
  • Ryu’s Belt – Created to regulation specs, the full-size martial arts black belt is a replica of the one Ryu wears and even includes his classic "Fürinkazan" in kanji!
  • Certificate of Authenticity – Each Collector’s Set comes individually numbered complete with a certificate of authenticity.

Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collector's Set is available in North America now for the not entirely unaffordable price tag of $149.99.

This is an awesome collector's edition, I'd really like it but I already own all the SF games.

I already have the four games included so it's pretty much unattractive for me.

I also wonder how it can be called a 25th anniversary collector set when you don't provide every game released since the last 25 years (where are the Alpha/Zero versions for example?).

@10 Yeah, I wouldn't spend $150 to play the same game a ton of times

Having grown up playing SF2 in the arcade I have to say I'm a little disappointed in this.

Give me the original games...I want SF2 complete with all glitches and bugs, I want champion edition were Ken's Dragon punch rules all.... for a 25th anniversary they should have went back to where it all began...Street Fighter 2...

Tsk..tsk! That Alpha series is missing. Not a true 25th without that series. Just my opinion!

This not worth it. If this commemorates the 25th anniversary of Street Fighter, then why is Street fighter not in it?

SF X Tekken sucks. Really wish they included the Street Fighter Alpha games. Those were awesome!! And Ryu really isnt my fave. A total pass for me.

For that price I would expect it to be Ryu's real belt, and when I wear it, it gives me the ability to throw real fireballs around. My dog wouldn't like it tho and would probably bite me.

Does anyone know if Street Fighter x Tekken is region free?
I haven't picked up that game yet, and I really like this box set.

This is the dumbest thing ever, all these games are already out!! Who wants to pay for the same stuff!? Where's Street Fighter Alpha, Street fighter Alpha 2, Street fighter Alpha 3 and the 1st Street Fighter!!? You could have even thrown in the garbage Street Fighter The Movie! This is a no buy for me..very dissappointed.

sorry capcom this is very sad. if you're going to release a collection of any kind. it better have EVERY game on the collection! i loved this series when it was simple to play. now with all this 16 button combos, phasing in & out crap, they lost me a long time ago. if they had brought out the originals on the genesis. i might have concidered this collection. MK went back to its roots. now SF needs to do the same.
