Make sure your box is fitted correctly, 505 Games has announced Ashes Cricket 2013 from Trickstar Games.

Timed to coincide with the double-header Ashes Series that takes place in England and Australia next year, the game promises to be the most authentic cricket experience to date with exclusive licenses from both The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and Cricket Australia (CA).

"2013 is another big year for International Cricket and it doesn't get much bigger than the Ashes Series," said Ralph Pitt-Stanley, general manager for UK & Export at 505 Games.

"The oldest rivalry in the sport recommences on 10th July 2013, with the back to back Ashes Series in the UK and Australia so it's a really exciting time to be working with the ECB, Cricket Australia and such a great development partner as Trickstar on this product and we can't wait to share more details with fans everywhere."

Please for the love of god make it a realistic cricket game rather than appealing to the masses and making it a slogfest

Also, why can't the buy the licenses for the County teams and put them in there, International only teams makes it such a small game, they should try and follow in Fifas steps, I'm not saying spend ridiculous amounts but make an effort to give good value.

Otherwise people will just rent this (if that).

Please add county teams for Aus and Eng!
I don't have high hopes for this game, but still top 5 of 2013 along with Metro last light (best game ever!)

Previous games have been all bad, except when it comes to achievements.

I think Ashes Cricket 2013 could be a game that would incorporate kinect extremely well, at least while batting.

I would love to mime a pull shot in the lounge, while shouting at watson to wait.

Please, just make a decent Cricket game. Don't start with all this fancy shit like Kinect, just make a decent game and maybe follow it up a game with county teams too.

It HAS to be better than what Codemasters made...

Anybody ever play Cricket 07, made by EA? That was actually a pretty damn realistic game with all the county teams as well, and loads of associate nations, the county seasons, international series - I still think that's been better than any of the games released on the 360 to date, hopefully that'll change next year...

I remember it, I actually preferred it to Brian Laras one.
Just make it realistic, have the option to slog it for the people who want it but make it appeal to the people who actually would buy it if it were any good. Cheap knock offs won't sell and then they'll wonder why, then they'll stop making them because they think there's no money in them.

They really need to start licensing the other teams as well. Other major sports games are fully licensed so why can't the cricket games be? And yes it would great to see the domestic/county teams from England and Australia particularly with the Big Bash League from Australia.

I bought ashes 2009 in 2009 for pc and was playing it online until just about 2 months ago when they stopped the online server. The game was very good with the backfoot and front foot batting options. Aswell as the swing and spin bowling which was realistic.
What they must make sure of is that the game is free from Bugs like in ashes2009.There were atleast 3-4 bugs found.
Another importance must be the online service. That is where the game will succeed. It must have online chat service within the game unlike ashes 2009.
A save option must be available for online aswell because theres nothing worse than playing a 50over or 20over or even a test and being disconnected from the other player. i was slogger profile in ashes 2009 for 3 years and made the top 15 ranks in the games ranking table. Was an epic game and just hope the 2013 game will be much better for true cricket lovers out there !
