Ubisoft has released screenshots and details for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier's next dose of DLC, entitled Khyber Strike. Featuring three new multiplayer maps, a new multiplayer game mode called 'Takeover' and a new map for Guerrilla mode, the DLC is due next week.

There's also new achievements and an increase to the level cap. Check out all of the Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Khyber Strike DLC features here:

3 new multiplayer maps

  • Switchback: Step off the main road leading down into the city and into a maze of ancient buildings and narrow alleys. The twists and turns of the alleyways turn every corner into a close-quarters deathtrap.
  • Palace: There's no time for reflection even in this magnificent relic. What once was a museum dedicated to showing the glories of the past is now a battlefield, with a massive courtyard at the heart of its contested ground.
  • Transit: A Moscow metro station makes for close quarters and close-range combat. Trains pulling into and out of the station add to the danger as Ghosts and Bodark slug it out underground

1 new multiplayer game mode: “Takeover”

  • Similar to a classic team deathmatch, score points for your team by eliminating enemies. Tip the scales by taking control of the enemy’s objective and earn a score multiplier to your team.  Defend your team’s objective to prevent the enemy from gaining the same advantage. Choose to split your team to defend and attack at the same time, or move as a group and overwhelm your enemy. When the mission ends, the team with highest score wins.

1 Guerrilla Mode map “Village” (4 players online / 2 players in local split screen)

  • A peaceful country village finds itself transformed into a battleground, as fighting rages around its central bus station. Long alleyways that run between war-damaged buildings make a perfect hunting ground for snipers, and a shootout near the town's gas station could turn explosive.
  • New Achievements
  • Level cap increase of +10

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Khyber Strike will be available on October 9th for 800 Microsoft Points. Check out the first screenshots below. All three of 'em.

  • Are people still playing this online?
  • Hopefully there will be a GOTY edition of this game. I want to buy it, but I think I'll wait.
  • Meh.
  • More multiplayer crap. Ugh I'm all for coop DLC, but more multiplayer maps don't really add anything for me. Just different layouts do do the exact same thing on.
  • @3 This game shouldn't be worthy of a the title GOTY. There should on the other hand have the flop of the year edition.
  • With the amount of DLC I am seeing, I am surprised that so many ppl complain about. I would imagine it's actualy enjoyable, because why else would they be putting money into DLC, if no one was buying it. Hopefully they will have full package with all DLC for cheaper next year=)
  • @6 that bad huh? Was considering picking it up on the cheap when the price drops
  • @8 Co-op was alright it had a few glitches here and there but the MP was awful. Definitely not worth full price.
  • More campaign DLC's please. Raven Strike was great!
  • #7: DLC is usually planned out way in advance hence the recent spate of Season Passes. These were most likely going to be rolled out no matter how hated the MP or beloved the co-op might have been. Ubisoft rolled their dice long before this game came out. Speaking of which I'm surprised Ubisoft aren't developing a bad reputation now. The recent implementation of online passes. People think they're milking the AC franchise, hate the direction recent Splinter Cell's have gone in, Future Soldier was massively delayed, then the fans cried something fierce when the massive change in direction was evident.
  • I'd prefer more campaign DLC but I don't see what's so bad about the MP now. In beta I didn't like it at all, and even at launch it wasn't great but the title update a month or whatever ago seems to have fixed the lag and pretty much all the complaints I had with it. I play MP once or twice a week now and have fun with it, and that's all I really ask of it. It's about the only third-person shooter I like in competitive MP; I can't friggin' stand Gears of War Versus mode. We bitch and moan about all the COD clones, but as soon as anyone makes something different, we bitch and moan about that too.
  • @2 yes but only stockade and conflict it seems.
  • Only positive is that it isn't 1200 msp.
  • I thought that the SP was fair had some challenge, the CO-OP was great had a ton of fun! the multiplayer? bahaha that was horrible... well I can now cross off Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six, and the Ghost Recon franchises off my ever buying again list. looks like UBI will only get me to buy AC games.. providing they don't do their standard " now lets mess with everything and alienate our fans" routine like they did with the other franchises (sp?)
  • Instead of more level caps, maps and guerrilla mode maps how about they add matchmaking for Guerrilla Mode.I'd gladly pay $10 JUST FOR THAT FEATURE
  • I don't know why so many people hate this game. It's really fun when you play it online with friends. If you don't play it with friends and dont have a mic to play with online, you are going to have a bad time, because most pub players are retarded.
  • @ #8 If you can find it for five bucks, flip a coin to decide. @ #17 Because the multiplayer literally didn't work for quite awhile after release. Unplayable in every sense of the word. Wether it ever got fixed, I'll never know. In my opinion this is the worst game of the year. Not because it couldn't have been good but because it should have been a AAA release and they put out a broken pile of shit.
  • Two trophies (from PS3Trophies.com), so I assume it's the same for achievements: Tour of Duty: DLC Map Pack 3 Win 3 MP of any game type on each: Switchback, Palace, and Transit maps Takeover Domination Be part of a squad match where your team wins by more than 500 points. I'm assuming it's the same point values as the Arctic Strike DLC since they are basically the same achievements (25 and 10 points respectively)
