It's a SEGA double whammy on the Xbox Live Arcade this week, as both SEGA Saturn classic NiGHTS into dreams... and Dreamcast sequel Sonic Adventure 2 will be available to download in just a few days.

Featuring revamped HD visuals, both games look rather tasty, while NiGHTS into dreams... features Christmas NiGHTS as a free additional bonus, consisting of extra levels previously only available via special promotions and SEGA Saturn holiday bundles.

If you want Sonic Adventure 2's additional 'Battle' GameCube content however, you'll have to fork out a little extra for it. You'll be able to grab Sonic Adventure 2 on Friday, October 5th for 800 Microsoft Points, with the Battle add-on available on the same day for 240 MSP.

NiGHTS into dreams... will also be out on October 5th for 800 MSP. Check out the launch trailer for both games below.

Brilliant, 2 more re-releases to add to an uninspired year of gaming. Can't say they are bad games though, they are brilliant.

It's a bit stale of them to charge extra for the Battle content.

I had fond memories of Sonic Adventure 2 on the GameCube, but when I had the chance to play it again recently the actual game didn't live up to what I remembered. Needless to say, I was disappointed. I've found this happens a lot--but not always--with older video games and the nostalgia we experience.

Definitely want to get my hands around some Sonic Adventure 2. bit odd that they're also dolling out the Battle bit, even though that was only on the GameCube, but I won't be complaining! :D

Keep the Vintage Sega Titles coming! What I really would love to see would be Phantasy Star 1 (SMS) and Phantasy Star 2-4 (Genesis/MegaDrive). Then I would really be happy.

Maybe a beefed up version of Space Harrier would be nice too. After all, they did it for After Burner!

On a Friday? I got up early this morning to set these two to download. Oh well, I guess I can play fable Heroes for another couple of days.

@24 Well, Jet Set Radio was meant to come out on the Friday but was released on the Wednesday, so there's still every chance that the same will happen here. I've got my fingers crossed, anyway. The games are clearly ready for download seeing how someone has already had some achievements unlocked and registered on the X360A leaderboards for SA2 so give it an hour and I reckon we'll see them up ;)

@22 Buy the Genesis/Mega Drive Collection. It includes all 4 Phantasy Star games. And its under $20 brand new, even cheaper used.

@27 I hear that both games are out now on PSN but WONT be released until Friday due to something or other. I very much doubt they will be there to download when I get home tonight. As I said, I shall continue with Fable Heroes and perhaps Smash TV until Friday.
