LEGO Lord of the Rings Ruling Them All in Late November

If you like your Lord of the Rings action plastic and blocky, then you're in for a treat this November. Warner Bros. has confirmed a November release date for TT Games' LEGO Lord of the Rings, based upon the motion pictures inspired by the work of JRR Tolkien. Obviously.

In LEGO Lord of the Rings, you'll assume the role of the Fellowship on their journey to transport the ring of power to Mordor, where it must be unmade within the Fires of Mount Doom from whence it came. Saving Middle-earth is the order of the day then, but with LEGO LotR characters and that.

LEGO Lord of the Rings is out on November 23rd, 2012. They're taking the hobbits to Eisengard!

  • this will give my wife something to do, whilst I play Black Ops!!!
  • Man i can't fuckin wait another month!!!!!
  • Does it follow all three books/movies?
  • They had to bring it out before The Hobbit is released at the cinema so they can do a seperate game for that too, money money money.
  • "Eisengard"??? wow. if you're gonna quote, you may want to at least spell it right...
  • Lego games at Christmas time has become a family tradition!
  • @ #4 This has nothing to do with the films release date, loads of people are going to buy this day one no matter when it comes out, including me, it is going to be epic and cheesy and brilliant lol. Splitting one poxy book into 3 films now that is just money money money and yes eventually it will get the Lego treatment just like everything these days, but companies pay to be turned into Lego not the other way around. Lego don't buy the rights to Indie or HP or Batman so they can make the game, The owners go to Lego and say here is fuck loads of money make Lego for our franchise, do a game and loads of toys ect ect.
  • Gonna get this for me and my girlfriend to play together, been looking for another game to play since we did Rayman Origins together last Christmas..
  • @1 play halo 4 instead...
  • Isengard*
  • Woot Woot!!! Lego LOTR will be on my list this year. Can't wait to play this with my girlfriend. So much fun!
  • The 23rd? They pushed it back 10 days? Good for them, will probably get better sales. Definitely going to pick this up in time for Xmas, after all my exams are finished and I need a game without loads of explosions.
  • You spelt Isengard wrong. ;3
  • looks like best lego game yet
  • Looks great - release time is good before Christmas :) want to see how the lego-ify the awesome story
  • Played and loved every Lego game, and they are one that my girlfriend enjoys too. Batman 2 was a bit 'meh', so hopefully this one can be awesome again.
  • @16 Really? REALLY? The open world, the voices, the great script, the use of both actual Batman AND actual superman themes during the game, all that and it was a bit 'meh'. Were you high when you played it? Are you high now?
  • I think I just saw this out for the Wii and DS at Wal-Mart already
  • Nice!!!
  • Pre-ordered it already. Can't wait, probably the only game I'm going to buy between now and Christmas.
  • @17 LOL, and IKR! However back on topic, this is the first lego game that I have preordered, and I'm sooooo looking forward to it.
  • Gamestop's site still says it's the 13th for XBOX, PS3 and Wii, and that the PS Vita, DS and 3DS versions are ready for purchase. Whereas play.com (the site linked by TT Games to purchase the title) says everything will be out on the 23rd - even though the PS Vita, DS and 3DS versions can be purchased right now. Which is correct?
  • @17, nah not high. :P I always enjoyed the grunts and facial work of the Lego characters. The voices made it less like a Lego game, which to me is a bad thing. Clayface in Batman 1 is one of the best Lego characters in any of the games. I still have high hopes for this game.
  • Well, I've got it right now, so it's out on November 13, 2012. At least here in North America... I dunno why they'd make the U.K. wait for an extra 10 days, but they're making you wait until February to see Wreck-It Ralph (which is just baffling), so I suppose anything's possible.
