Infinity Ward has attempted to stuff the genie back in the bottle following yesterday's not at all surprising revelation from Captain Price voice actor Billy Murray (not that one), that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is in development at the Modern Warfare studio.
“Yeah, on Monday I am off to meet Infinity Ward about the next game, Modern Warfare 4, I’m doing work on the sequel to Modern Warfare 3, it carries straight on and I only ever appear in the Modern Warfare games…” Murray had initially said in an interview.
"Interesting news today, but it's not true. We've not talked with any voice actors, so all news is speculation." Infinity Ward tweeted in response to the reports, at least denying the voice acting aspect of the game, though not flat out denying that Modern Warfare 4 is in the pipeline.
It seems entirely obvious that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is in development at Infinity Ward, although until an official announcement surfaces, we'll have to chalk this one up as rumour and/or speculation.
