You know when you pre-ordered Call of Duty: Black Ops II for the free Nuketown 2025 bonus multiplayer map? Well, with the introductory Double-XP weekend drawing to a close, Activision has yanked the map from Black Ops II's multiplayer playlists for reasons unknown.
"Double XP weekend is official(ly) over. That means Nuketown 2025 / 24-7 is as well. I know. RIGHT? Don't kill the messenger. +" tweeted Treyarch's Game Director, David Vonderhaar. "Nuketown 2025 / 24-7 will be back for special events. You can always play it with your friends in Custom Games," he added.
It seems that the Nuketown 2025 map might have only been available for the duration of the Double-XP weekend, which has naturally caused the community to be up in arms about the whole thing. Hopefully the Nuketown 2025 map will return for free. Hopefully. For now though, feel free to shake your fist in indignant rage.
