Activision Dates and Details Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD Revert Pack DLC

Activision has released fresh details for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD's Revert Pack DLC, which adds three new stages from the original Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3, namely Airport, Los Angeles and Canada, as well as skating legends Geoff Rowley and Steve Caballero.

In addition to the THPS3 content, Metallica's James Hetfield and Robert Trujillo make a surprise appearance as playable characters, alongside the Metallica track "All Nightmare Long", which will be added to the game's playlist. It's the eponymous Revert from THPS3 that forms the backbone of the DLC though, enabling you to pull off insane combos.

The Revert move itself will be patched into Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD for free, so you'll be able to play the existing levels with the new move to beat your current high scores. You'll be able to grab the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD Revert Pack on December 4th. It'll be priced at 400 Microsoft Points. There's 15 new screenshots to check out in the gallery.

The revert will be usable on THPS 1 and 2 levels? That's news to me. I'm glad that all of our complaining got through to Acti. It was stupidity at its best when they announced the DLC but said reverts would only work on the new stages.

I think 400 msp was confirmed a while ago. Been waiting forever for this. Awesome they're putting the revert in the main game too.

I am now so glad I held off on playing this game. THPS3 was my favorite and I can't wait for it and to revert in the old levels as well.

@4 yeh same, i thought you could only use the reverts on these new levels?! did they scrap that idea? though i'd disagree with it being stupid, it actually does make a lot of sense, when you think about the level design. reverts on the old levels won't help that much, apart from Marseille cos it's got mad bowls.

@7 Untrue, all I need is a half-pipe and I can keep a combo pretty much as long as I want to. I'm looking forward to this.

@8 oh yeh i said they won't help THAT much, not not at all. sure they will in a half pipe situation, or like on Marseille. but levels like School II, Mall, Venice Beach it's not going to make a huge difference. especially compared to the new levels which were designed with the revert in mind.

what a rip off. 3 maps, a few characters, revert, one new song and that's it?

Why Canada? I'd much rather have suburbs, or cruise ship.

And thus all the high scores in the game became redundant...

Okay I'm going to be serious here, where the fuck was this 6 months ago when they said? I don't mind all that much and I'm past caring about this game and what the heck have they been doing?

So... since Guitar Hero is dead, this is how Activision is using the exclusive Metallica license?

At least they finally allow us to use the revert again. That was literally the sole reason I didn't buy this game. After THPS3 introduced it, it made vert a viable playstyle with comboing. I can't go back!

Why does activision insist on using crappy new metallica in their games? If your going to use metallica in a game and its not just to promote them, then use pre-black album stuff.

more importantly did they fix any of the horrendous bugs that plague the game? like losing the ability to assign tricks?
