Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Vid Slices and Dices

Konami has released a new vid for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, featuring Raiden doing what he does best - slicing the crap out of everything in his path.

Seriously, after The Metal Gear Guy ditched the game and it was farmed out to another developer, we had some reservations about Revengeance. But the more we see, the more we like. Whisper it: Platinum may just have another bonkers action classic on its hands.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance slices its way into stores on February 19th, 2013 in North America, February 21st, 2013 in Japan and February 22nd, 2013 in Europe.

I never had any doubts in Platinum's game-making ability, really. If they make it, it's good.
What I'm worried about is the story, which is the cornerstone of any Metal Gear game.

@1,

I agree that the story is one of the most important aspects of MGS games, but as many fanboys like to point out, this ain't a traditional MGS game... more akin to Ninja Gaiden series where story is incidental & secondary to great gameplay mechanics... so hopefully it will have that in spades & the story can be as bonkers as they desire as far as I'm concerned.

In this genre, Gameplay>Story &/or Graphics, although it is nice to have all three on song:)

Metal Gear on the X360... feels like we've been waiting forever for this to be released. Only two more months of waiting.

played the demo that came with Z.O.E. HD and its not for me. its a nice change up. the gripe i have with it is putting attack and defend as the same button (defend is direction of the attack with the LS + X) meant during attacks i was sometimes defending and while attacking, hardly defending -.- also there was no crouch, i pressed every button but found none.

I quite like the look of it, loved the old school alarm noise near the end of the trailer

Looks fantastic and as insanely fun as a bouncy castle full of mad fish wearing top hats and throwing jelly in your face.... I am looking forward to this....a lot!

I played the demo that came with zone of the Enders.

It's good, but it's basically as I've said previously, a more expensive looking version of Afro samurai.

Personally, I'll be waiting until the price drops.

Looks like a decent skill based action game.

My vagina is dripping wet for it but I think it'll flop, gamers today just want to be spoonfed.

Did someone say something about being spoonfed a dripping wet vagina?

This isn't really Metal Gear though. As long as you just expect something entirely different (indeed, more like Ninja Gaiden or Bayonetta), you'll surely enjoy it! :-)))
I cannot wait!!
