Speaking to Ron Gilbert earlier this week at an event for The Cave, we asked what he'd change if he could become The Cave's Time Traveler, one of the seven characters you can play as in Gilbert's upcoming XBLA adventure game that he's developing with Double Fine and SEGA.
Apparently, Gilbert regrets selling off the studio he co-founded with Shelley Day back in 1992 called Humungous Entertainment. The studio became a specialist in creating point-and-click games aimed at a younger audience, before being acquired by GT Interactive in 1996. Humoungous is currently owned by Atari.
"If I were the Time Traveler in the game? Oh wow... If I were the Time Traveler... You know I probably never would have sold Humungous Entertainment," Gilbert told X360A. "I think that was a great company and we had a lot of amazingly talented people working there. I probably wouldn't have sold that company."
Ron Gilbert is currently putting the finishing touches on The Cave at Double Fine, which we'll be previewing soon. You can also catch the full interview with Ron Gilbert around the same time. The Cave is coming to XBLA in January 2013.
