Hitman HD Collection
Hitman HD Trilogy Coming January 2013. Premium Edition Revealed
Written By
View author's profile

If you've been enjoying Agent 47's latest killing spree with Hitman: Absolution, then you're in for a treat with the Hitman HD Collection, which will be coming to Xbox 360 in January 2013. Furthermore, the three bundled Hitman classics will be remastered and offered up as a Premium Edition with the usual collectible bonus.

In this particular case, it's an art book that collects some of the tastiest reinterpreted art nuggets from the HD trilogy, which consists of Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hitman: Contracts and Hitman: Blood Money. All three games are shoved into one swanky package, with the Premium Edition including the exclusive art book.

Furthermore, the collection has some rather spiffy cover art, which may or may not be exclusive to the Premium Edition. We're not sure. What we are sure of, is that Hitman HD Trilogy is coming in January 2013, which is marvellous news. You can also get the achievements right here.

@1: Good to know. How high? Hopefully not «over 9000» so you could sustain it. ;-)

The real question is will this version of Hitman 2 be the original unedited version, or will it be the post-Sikh outrage version with the levels missing? I'm going to hazard the latter :(

Cool, that they are remastered, but I played all of them to death. With so many great games coming out all the time, who has time to go back and play the old ones again. I've been meaning to play Uncharted all the way through and Dead Space in anticipation for 3rd game, but where is a working man to find time?

So I've got all of the achievements for Blood Money. Will they have achievements associated with this version? But I am excited to pay Silent Assassin and Contracts again. Would love to see Codename 47 with this though.

Is this series (and this collection) any good? I never played any of the hitman games back in the ps2 days. Don't remember hearing one way or the other either.

The acheivement list doesn't have anything for Blood Money. I'm assuming its on a seperate disc and just has the original 1000?

@23 depends, if you like trial and error games?

Which is what essentially these games are which may sound crap, but from the two I've played (Blood Money and Absolution), they are very enjoyable.

Still want to know why the first is not included, would have taken that over Blood Money which is already available on the Xbox 360.

I remember introducing myself to the series with Contracts and having a very hard time with the game and haven't played any since, might go ahead and give it another shot with this collection.

I can't wait for this. I've only ever played Blood Money but I've really wanted to give the older ones a go for a while. Hopefully the premium edition isn't a whole lot more money cause that art book looks really cool but I'm not spending the usual CE price for just an art book.

Amazon.com currently as the premium edition for pre order at the same price as the standard. Do you even need to think about it??

@28: Nope! Pretty obvious not to get the crappy premium edition with the useless artbook that will take up extra space on myself. Seriously, enough with the artbooks. Put something cool in there.

Damn it! I bought Blood Money on sale on GoD for $10 a few months ago becausethe cheapest I could find it was $25 used. Now it's included in this package. Oh well, atleast I can make some room on my hard drive now.

@25- YouTube videos of the first game. It pretty much looked like a late PSone generic action game. Besides, Contracts includes four remastered levels from the first game.

@4 is evidently very insecure.
OT: Used to love Hitman! Namely because I thought the method of collecting and displaying guns in number 2 was awesome, but I suppose the stealth was great too ;)

#34 Hitman 1 will not be on consoles as IO Interactive mention before they will not ever release it to consoles for their own reasons. So we will never see it on consoles. Which is why bought Blood Money in it. Weird I knew but nice to play Blood Money again. Hitman: Absolution is my best of all Hitman series in my opinion. :)

Artwork boxset look bit strange. But it is Hitman though!!! I understand Square Enix want Trilogy HD collection for Hitman to have cartoon artwork boxset instead of computer artwork. :D

@37 Because PS 1 games are harder to remaster in HD. Just enjoy them for what they are.

@37, The MGS HD collection does have MSG 1 from what I remember, isn't it on the MGS 3 disc?

OT: Silent Assassin was by far my favourite. The levels were much darker especially toward the end and his weapons shed in the churchyard was a great addition and slightly tongue in cheek. Loved the last level.

Some retailers offered a free preorder code for MGS1 on the PSN if you preordered it on PS3 but that's all
