Having been affected by issues that saw players banned from accessing certain online components of the game, the Halo 4 Crimson Map Pack DLC has now been fixed according to Microsoft, who has released a statement on the matter, reporting that less than 200 users were affected.
"There was a situation yesterday (Sunday) in which less than 200 Halo 4 users were being incorrectly banned from accessing certain parts of the game (not banned from Xbox LIVE as a whole), and we have since resolved the issue." the statement reads. "All players accounts impacted are working as normal."
Initially the problems that the Crimson Map Pack was subjected to arose from Limited Edition and War Games Pass owners who were promised the DLC for free, but were still charged when downloading the pack. A workaround to ensure that those affected got the DLC for free found themselves essentially locked out of certain aspects of the Halo 4's online components due to wrongly issued bans.
The Halo 4 Crimson Map Pack should now be working properly.
