Metro: Last Light
Metro: Last Light Screenshots are Moody Masterpieces

Here’s some moody new screens for 4A’s atmospheric upcoming survival shooter, Metro: Last Light.

Showing off the beautiful degradation of the game’s subterranean and surface environments, the shots give you some idea of the visual clout Metro: Last Light packs. It’s a great looking game.

Indeed, we’re pretty positive about the whole thing. The first game was great (but not without problems) and Last Light looks to be a step forwards.

If 4A get it right we could have a quiet classic on our hands. Read our latest preview here for more.

Metro: Last Light is out on March 2013.

Should I consider buying this one, the previous game looked bad to me.

I was worried about this since the downfall of THQ, and it going bankrupt. I know these are just screens but hopefully a release is still coming. Also wonder what happened to some other THQ titles such as WWE Wrestlefest on XBLA? Best wishes.

@3 Can't judge a game just by how it looks. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

You should definitely give it a try. It's one of my favourite stories from this generation, though, I'll be honest, it is a lot better if you've read the book before-hand, or when replaying (Like I did).
OT: Want. I was slightly annoyed when I realised this game wouldn't follow the 'Good' ending, but after reading the book, it makes perfectly good sense why.

Nah, it's quite understandable why you might think that based on the picture straight after, but clout = heavy blow. So he's basically saying the visuals pack a powerful punch :)

@2 What games aren't depressing? They're all about guns, wars, apocalypses...

@15 That doesn't make any sense? Fallout and Metro are not similar games at all... they aren't intended to be. That's like comparing ArmA and CoD because both involve militaries.

@4 there has been reports of the finance company that bought THQ and the current games that are in development will still be released, Metro will still be released, same with Saints Row 4, WWE 14 company of heroes 2 and a few others and some of those games are still dated for 2014

That lighting looks tremendous. I'd like to get it, but I'll probably wait until it's at a lower price. I'm seeing 'Hitman HD Trilogy' and 'GTA V' as the only surefire purchases for me for the former half of 2013.
