Hot on the heels of the official Revolution Map Pack announcement for Call of Duty: Black Ops II comes some willy-waving stats from Activision.
According to the publisher, players have racked up a whopping 427 million hours collectively in the game’s multiplayer suite. That’s the equivalent of 48712 years.
Some big numbers then, but elsewhere the figures are a little more muddled. Because despite Black Ops II reaching a billion dollars in revenue in 15 days, some reports are suggesting that the game is selling 20 per cent less than last year’s Modern Warfare 3.
The price of endless yearly iteration, perhaps? Perhaps we’re not the only ones feeling a little burnt out. Regardless, though sales may be down, Call of Duty remains massively popular.
