Max Payne 3 Deathmatch Made in Heaven DLC Out Today

Max Payne 3's Deathmatch Made in Heaven DLC is out today, adding the 'Dead Men Walking' co-op mode, in which Max and Raul Passos must team up to take on waves of enemies, while earning 'Grit' to unlock more health, weapons and items, as well as unlocking more areas.

The DLC also adds the 'Run and Stun' mode, in which one player assumes the role of Captain Baseball Bat Boy's arch-nemesis, Saci, armed with a stun gun, some flash grenades and a heavy melee attack. It's Saci's job to take everyone down and turn rivals into allies with Saci masks. The game ends when the timer runs out, or when Saci manages to turn all but one player.

Marked Man is another mode in which Vendettas play a key role, with five points rewarded for following through on a Vendetta and five points up for grabs if you can successfully escape a Vendetta. Finally, Time Attack is a spin on the traditional Deathmatch, but rewards kill combos if you can beat the clock.

There's a bunch of new weapons with the DLC too, including the Cattle Prod, the Night Stick, the Stun Gun, Pepper Spray and the Bouncing Betty projectile.

You'll be able to download Max Payne 3's Deathmatch Made in Heaven DLC today for 800 Microsoft Points, or you can grab it as part of the Season Pass. Check out some new screens from the pack below.

Wait a day or so, for when the season pass goes on sale for 1200msp (for those who don't have it).

Much better deal ;)

They removed the Rockstar deals without explanation. Probably because this is coming out.

@2 I noticed the Red Dead DLC was still up at 50% off but not the MP3 stuff. I won't bother unless it's on sale...

Seems like a waste. The multiplayer in this game is dead. Adding more modes is just going to disburse the crowd even more.

@4 I just saw that too when I went to look at the Sales & Specials + app. I just thought that they were all gone since Major Nelson updated the "Content coming soon to the Xbox LIVE Marketplace post saying "Edit: Updating the list to remove the Rockstart offers."

I'm just going to wait for the Max Payne 3 complete edition which is undoubtedly coming out in the near future.

@8 good luck with that, there will be no one on multiplayer by then...

all these new weapons sound stupid, i hope they are specific to those new modes and are not incorporated into the actual multiplayer because i dont see any of those being better than a gun.

@10 There's always boosting sessions if that's the case :) I haven't even started playing this even though I had the special edition pre-ordered.

Microsoft renigging on the MP3 deals this week is BS. Its the least they could do after all the shit they've thrown at us lately.

This is why they should have released story DLC for Max Payne 3. I don't know why the sole focus on multiplayer. Rock star shines through single player. Look at the DLC for GTA IV. Those 2 are the best DLC's ever released for any game to date!

Not only were the DLC's meaty in single player with 22+ missions each of them. But also each had also new side missions, random encounters, new activities, and so on. And on top of that each also had new multiplayer modes & such

Why couldn't they have done the same with Max Payne 3?

I really wish the DLC for GTA V is handled the same way it was for GTA IV. Only this time instead of 2 expansions. We get a lot more. I'd gladly pay $20 for each like I did last time.
