Following the earlier listing of Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge for Xbox 360 and PS3, Tecmo Koei and Team Ninja have now announced that the previously Wii U-only title will indeed be coming to consoles, with all of the additional content that the game brought to Ninja Gaiden 3, including the return of limb dismemberment.
Boasting a redesigned battle system, improved enemy AI, less QTE sections and the limb removal that made Ninja Gaiden II such a brutal, bloodthirsty blast, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge also ups the level of challenge. There's also the Ninja Skills system in which you can use Karma to purchase weapon and Ninpo upgrades, feats and extra costumes.
Kasumi, Ayane and Momiji also join Ryu Hayabusa as playable characters, with Ayane getting her own Story Mode chapters, while all three bonus female ninjas can be used in the new ten chapter long Chapter Challenge mode with all-new Ayane stages and Ninja Trials co-op mode, with extra costume options.
New weapons like the Jinran-Maru & Blade of the Archfiend dual swords, Lunar Staff and Kusari-gama joing new Ninpo abilities like Inferno, Wind Blades and Piercing Void, and Tests of Valor are also available upon finding Crystal Skills. The 8-player online multiplayer features of NG3 have also been expanded with all of the paid DLC available as a bonus, and five new Clan Battle stages and 100 co-op Ninja Trials.
Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge will be heading to Xbox 360 on April 5th, 2013. Check out 44 screenshots in the gallery, a selection of which can be found below.
