Okay, so the last Walking Dead: Survival Instinct gameplay video might not have been too flattering for Activision and Terminal Reality's first-person survival-horror title, but they're keen to make amends ahead of next month's launch.
The latest video, released today, shows the popular TV show's favourites, Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Merle Dixon (Michael Rooker), kicking zombie ass in Georgia. With impressive likenesses and voice performances from the AMC TV show's actors themselves, the game looks a hell of a lot more appealing in its latest showing than it did previously and is surely looking to appeal to fans of the TV series.
In The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct players will have to scrounge for food, water and ammunition as they trek through the perilous zombie wasteland that is Georgia. It's a matter of survival and the Dixon brothers are very schooled in that.
Activision today also announced the UK (GAME) and Ireland (GameStop) pre-order incentive DLC called the 'Walker Herd Survival Pack,' which is essentially includes Survival Instinct's version of Epic's popular horde mode. Included with the horde mode will be a variety of weapons players can use in the game's story mode, including a survival knife, a sawtoothed machete, a kukri, a reinforced hatchet and an advanced machete.
Is this latest trailer enough to win you back over after the uninspiring gameplay from last year or are you still expecting another shameless cash-in on a popular brand? Let us know in the comments.
The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct is scheduled for a March 26th and 29th release in North America and Europe respectively.
