[Update] The wait for The Walking Dead season two won't actually be nearly as agonising as first thought. Telltale is actually targeting an autumn 2013 release, not autumn 2014.
"The current estimated release window for Season Two of The Walking Dead is for fall of this year (2013), and not next year (2014) as has been reported after a recent interview," Telltale clarified to Game Informer.
"We apologise for any confusion and thank you and all of our fans for your continued excitement for Telltale's series."

[Original Story] It's going to be a long and agonising wait for the next season of Telltale's The Walking Dead, as the developer has declared that it's "aiming for" autumn 2014 to continue the series.
"We're aiming for fall next year," said Telltale Co-Founder and CEO Dan Connors, before going on to comment on series writer Gary Whitta's statement about the "little something extra" that'll be coming to bridge the wait between season one and season two.
"He's been sacked," Connors laughed. "We threw him into the zombie pit... We'll probably have something to announce fairly soon about what we're going to do. It'll be different."
Here's hoping that Telltale is whipping something up to make the protracted wait a little easier to stomach. Autumn 2014 is a long way off...
