A few more details have emerged regarding The Phantom Pain, the mysterious title from the previously unknown, and likely fictional Moby Dick Studio.
Thought to be a new game in the Metal Gear series (check out Rich’s brilliant dissection of the original trailer for more), we now know that the game runs in Kojima Productions’ FOX Engine and that a further trailer will be revealed during the Game Developers Conference in a couple of week’s time.
These latest titbits come via a painfully contrived GTTV interview with crap actor and supposed Phantom Pain developer Joakim Mogren, who appeared with his face wrapped in bandages. You can watch the interview below.
Hideo Kojima recently announced that he had extended his planned GDC session, where he is due to show off Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes and the FOX Engine itself. Silly but entertaining promotional fluff aside, this will likely be where we'll learn the precise details of what The Phantom Pain is and how it fits in with the Metal Gear franchise.
As ever we’ll be at GDC, and Kojima’s talk, bringing you all the latest news. Stay tuned.
