City Interactive has today announced that Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 will be getting its first dose of DLC next week with the Siberian Strike single-player add-on, taking you to an isolated Siberian location (clue's in the name) where there'll be a "more open world experience" awaiting.

You'll have no guidance for finding your way around the new location beyond the map provided, meaning you'll need to use your own wits and nous to navigate the remote abandoned city of Birsovik, where you'll need to infiltrate a Russian military installation that America intelligence reports is manufacturing weapons of mass destruction.

Stepping into the boots of Cole "Sandman" Anderson, once inside the facility you'll be hoping to locate and rescue an undercover CIA operative who's gone silent. Your mission is to track the missing CIA operative's GPS signal, assess the situation on the ground and extract any intelligence.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2's Siberian Strike DLC will be heading to the Xbox Live Marketplace on March 27th for 800 Microsoft Points. Get some screenshots into your eyeballs below.

The main game should have been open and you left to find your path rather than funnelling you down a path and only allowing a certain order in which to shoot people. DLC can't save this game from the trade in bin unfortunately.

Those screenshots are fairly accurate, but they were just taken in third person on PC. :)

DLC was pretty good but it should be 400 points. Three missions that take about 2 hours, 3 tops. Piss easy 250G though.

@#3 - I agree. 800 points is way too much for budget title DLC. I have this from Gamefly but am working on Testament of Sherlock Holmes first. I'm actually looking forward to this. The first one wasn't bad, just had some bad mechanics. I'll wait until this is a Deal of the Week before buying it even though I have a shit ton of free MS Points via Bing Rewards.

Ghost Warrior 2 was the first game of the series that i played ... and it will be the last for me.
It was so disappointing. Such a bad "game" ... (quotations are because i do not consider it as a game but a complete Joke)
