Saints Row The Third’s cancelled DLC expansion, Enter the Dominatrix, will return as a downloadable add-on for Saints Row IV, developer Volition has confirmed.
Before the collapse of THQ earlier in the year, the publisher’s president Jason Rubin said that the expansion had been folded into what would become Saints Row IV. However, following the purchase of Volition and the Saints Row franchise by Deep Silver, that plan has changed a little.
According to Senior Producer Jim Boone the elements of Enter the Dominatrix that didn’t get swallowed up by Saints Row IV will be released as a separate “Director’s Cut” add-on for the upcoming sequel.
“With the Enter the Dominatrix pack, there were still a lot of ideas that we think are really cool. Some really over the top ideas,” Boone told us.
“What we plan to do is a Director’s Cut of Enter the Dominatrix, of those elements that we didn’t bring over. We’ll do that as a future DLC pack for Saints Row IV. So people will still be able to see some of the things we had in mind for Enter the Dominatrix, but in a different way.”
